AFTER we paid and our dog destroyed it the vet told us our dog's snout is too long for the cone to effectively work for her.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. They are called an Elizabethan Collar if you have to ever go through that again. Last time I bought one, they were a few bucks. They should still be available to you retail direct.
