The thing is if we had true free will then we could choose salvation but we cannot he has to do it for us first. it goes back to when I was in the process of being saved I was drawn to him first I knew about God I went to church as a kid I understood that salvation was based on the cross but I knew that I also was not saved and that was because I never surrendered myself to him. but I could feel the tugging inside me something was different inside me I even started crying because I wanted to be saved but I knew I was not. it was then soon after at my lowest point in my life where everything in my life seemed like trash to me that I surrendered to him fully
But the tugging was what brought me there had I sought after him without it I would likely think I was saved I may have even done all the things a christian does but unless something inside was changed or different then I would not have ever known true salvation
It was not my will that allowed me to be in salvation to drink from the cup of mercy it was the tugging the change inside something was different
No offense but I think if the truth you offer makes me like how you believe and treat others then I don't want it I will stick with Troy brewer he actually makes your spirit awaken inside you in fact I had a revival happen inside me the first time I watched him plus he saves thousands of abused children in his ministry but tell you what if you agree to check out Troy brewer I will check out the links you want me to.
The calling is for all make no mistake about it, and the calling you receive is because of his plan he had for you before you where even born.
If you have effection for Christ then his calling has not just been heard, his calling has opened your heart you eyes changed your heart, where you now have effection for his son.
Yes his calling is indeed for all that is a very important truth to know and understand but there are plenty who say otherwise the whole predestination thing is absurd. Now did he know us and have a plan for us before we were even born? yes, but this is the case for all of mankind not just the elect as they call it

You would be surprised how many forget to have actual affection towards him I call them carnal Christians you will ntoice such people use intellect more than anything and have no idea what your talknig about when you express your deep love and affection for Christ

It’s sad that some believe that attending a Bible college produces spiritual maturity in Christ. Knowledge doesn’t produce maturity. Experience produces maturity. Just as in other areas of life. Attending college and getting an engineering degree doesn’t make you a good engineer. On the job experience makes you a good engineer. No different from becoming a mature Christian. Acting upon what He commands and understanding His love produces maturity. My grandmother is the most godly woman I’ve ever met. I’ve honestly never seen her angry at another. Love is all she knows. Yet she never graduated high school and never attended a Bible college.

See that is the thing several on here are puffed up with knowledge but they have no inkling as to what love is they can read and understand greek and hebrew they have all kinds of knowledge on things not all being correct of course but love? No one who is filled with love would act and speak in the manner seen in this thread and I admit that some have gotten under my skin and I maybe responded in anger but I have also admitted when I was in the wrong and if any scholar minded person thinks that is going to make them mature then they don't understand what maturity is either

Here's irony because if Troy Brewer makes me like you? I'll pass. You are far to vague for my tastes. Never know what it is you actually believe. You remind me of the bohemian type where they live by the "love is all you need" trope. Sounds good but the first strong wind comes along and you're blown all over the place.
I did watch a couple of Troy Brewer's videos and was surprised as he doesn't seem to have a Bible on the stand with him but he does have his books he wrote. He also preached the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost are two separate "entities" and I put entities in quotes because one sounded more like an attitude. Even as a non Christian I knew that was simply a translation issue and the Holy Spirit is God.
People seem to forget that Jesus is not some peacenik hippie type. When He returns the sword He comes with is a big broadsword designed for one thing, to lop off people's heads.

The sword in that verse, in His first coming, is a long bladed knife that is used more or less for slicing and dicing. He came originally to save and that sword is used to cut out the rubbish, the lies, the self deception so that we are saved from ourselves, the cosmic system and the devil. There is no salvation with the next sword He brings, only judgment.
Now is the acceptable time to stop worrying about how you feel a thing should be and start learning the truth of a matter. We are not on this earth to feel good about ourselves but to worship and honour the Living God Almighty.
Neither of His swords care about our bruised egos, He cares about truth and seeks our highest well being and more often than not, that is a painful process to endure for a time.
