You need to understand that God saves by means of covenant.

Not quite sure of how that was intended.
God does not save by means of a covenant.

Rather, those whom God saves, He will enter into a covenant that God had provided for, for those who are to be saved during the period for a covenant.

Faith in God is the means.
Always has been.

There is MUCH much more needed to get the full picture.
That's the thing with Chronister, you need to sift through everything he says to
find the related lectures that fill in the blanks. It ain't easy.

And this can take MONTHS.
Who here is willing to spend MONTHS and YEARS seeking and finding?
Are you going to give it a nibble @Cameron143 @BillyBob @Rufus @Magenta ?
The test is whether you find it sweet or bitter. You being the testee.....:sneaky:

The Salvation protocol is as follows:
1) by first believing
2) and then "entering in" (applying the Blood to the doorpost and lintel)

#2 is an act of faithful obedience. Crucial.
Furthermore, you are entering in on GODS TERMS according to His pattern and requirements. Also crucial.

Mat 22:12
“So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless.

There is a difference between entering into salvation by faith.
And.. Entering into a covenant designed for the saved.

Both require faith.

First phase... It saves you. (faith in Christ)
Next phase... It keeps you safe. (faith in what the covenant requires)

Just wanted to try to help clarify some fuzzy logic that I was possibly sensing.

A finite man who has to force people to believe.
They who can not resist His will.
That is something that Satan resorts to in making people to conform to his own agenda.

Men can resist God's will.

Evidence A?
Pharaoh.

.......
Pharoah had his heart hardened by God

You need to know what is going on there. And it ain't Calvinism.
And you need to know exactly how the "hardening" business happens on a technical level.
And.....that ain't Calvinism either.

BTW, super-determinists are notorious around here for their loaded "one-liners".

Pharoah had his heart hardened by God

Yes.... Hardening is what takes place during the process of resisting.

God knew Pharaoh would resist, and would use him for his own glory.
And, allowed Pharaoh to live longer that most men who resist.

It would be like saying... "I will callus his hands."

Then create an emergency that will require he shovels many times a day something you made to be seeping into his yard.

Ok so how would you explain the hardening of the heart? Why do you think God did it to begin with and what is the purpose of it?

Ok so then how was God glorified from the hardening of his heart?

Mat 26:27
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all ***of*** (FROM) it;

The KJV translates Strong's G1537 in the following manner: from (181x)

What is the result of willfully refusing to drink from it?

How do I know I am saved? A simpleton like me can actually understand that man!

Chronister is on another level. What a gift God has sent us in his teaching.

Ok so then how was God glorified from the hardening of his heart?

Yes! Because of what happened to Pharaoh and his army, God's name became even known in Jericho!

Just ask Rahab!

Because of Pharaoh's hardened heart, God's name became known all over the world!

Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them,
“I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you.
We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed.
When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below. Joshua 2:8-11
Before then? The Lord God was obscure and only known by the Jewish slaves in Egypt!

Thank you this is exactly the kind of response I was hoping for and yes you are correct on this so thank you for the response

Pharoah had his heart hardened by God

The premise of the reformed/calvie/tulip doctrine of this particular circumstance in a nutshell is:

Thus, God arbitrarily determines who is saved or not.

but....... It was God making Himself known to a world wide audience. Not "making" a vessel for destruction.

In this thread where people have made a mistake in there understanding, and a single understanding to which there has been thousands of understandings, that needs understandings, and not cherry pickings, understanding meaning communication of compassion, in the sense that mistakes are not something that stops God caring, but something that comes from a bondaged will, where excuses are then justified, they really do let these understanding pass them by on hundreds of rants.

Where by people in this thread, people then decide to make a complete humiliation of a person for having one miss understanding, but they themselves don't have complete understanding of how to help an in-correct understanding, as they themselves have many miss understandings, and they are really not understanding one very important thing, and that is the truth about the bondage of the will causes this.

Now at this moment the bondaged will, will say up yours.

But the bandaged will may say. Yeah I know that feeling.

There is a HUGE CHASM between:

Some will not be saved and some cannot be saved......And there is no compromise between the 2.
