They are first Regenerated B4 coming to the light. B4 Regenerated they are darkness and hate the light and can't comprehend the light

That is like saying the ovum must be fertilized before having sex.

What has gone wrong with your minds?

God must make your soul (by grace) be isolated from the dominance of the depravity of the flesh.... So that. The soul can be placed in a position to think without interference. Then the Gospel is presented. That is not regeneration, that is taking place. For in the Gospel it involves our sinful nature is on the block. That is not a spiritual issue, but a human one!

Is there an example of this in Scripture?

Example of WHAT?

I describe the errors being made?
And, then you ask for an example in Scripture?

Disconnect will happen until the learning of much sound doctrinal knowledge takes place.
Otherwise, the dogma of non-thinking will continue being superstition that takes place when someone is not clear in their thinking.

They be like...

You are so duped. It is you who are doing that....

The Lord has nothing to prove.
He simply reveals the truth.

And, you believe that those standing opposed to your errors are doing just what you do?

That, in effect? You judge yourself.

Your own words will be held against you.

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours,
but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

I thought you said you are a believer in what the Word says?

You're lying, and promoting a lie.

Here's YOU!

If only the Great Physician would graciously heal your intrinsic blindness....

Doofus.... it down and stop interrupting the class!
Or you are going to the principal's office.

What do we have gathering in this forum?
Attention seekers. Not truth seekers.

Silly monkey. Both the ovum and sperm are alive prior to conception.

The joining of the two generates new life.
What a brilliant way !

To screw up the reality you just wished to distort.

Do I have to take time now and divert to show you how you are blind to what was said, and how you flubbed it terribly?

No... I am just going to leave you as you are.

You don't get the "picture."

What a wasted mind.

Burst of light at conception

That art of diversion.

  1. Reply with something totally wrong.
  2. Wait for someone to try to correct you.
  3. Then, act stupid and stubborn about it, so what truth was said, will be forgotten in all the noise.

Got it!

It's like saying, man loves darkness and hates the light, that man is darkness and can't comprehend the light. Man subjectively is darkness and hates the objective light of the truth.

Zacharias was not speaking to John Baptist. John Baptist was 8 days old.

[Luk 1:76 KJV]76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; ...
John Baptist was 8 days old when Zacharias prophesied over him. If you have children, you know what an 8 day old infant can understand. How much did John Baptist understand?

fyi ... there were other people present at the time Zacharias prophesied:

Luke 1:57-66

57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.

62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.

63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

vs 59 – they called him Zacharias ... the "they" were not Zacharias or Elizabeth. there were others present at the time Zacharias prophesied.

vs 65 – and fear came on all that dwelt round about them and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea ... these are the folks who heard what Zacharias prophesied concerning John Baptist. They already considered it a miracle from God that Elizabeth had conceived ... they came with Zacharias and Elizabeth when John Baptist was circumcised.

vs 66 – all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts ... while the prophetic words of Zacharias were spoken concerning his son, John Baptist, others were present, they heard the words, they laid them up in their hearts ... they did not suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

John Baptist was faithful to his ministry. He preached repentance ... he preached to people about Messiah ... he baptized Messiah and when Jesus came to be baptized, John said behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.

rogerg said:
Per the above, John would be faithful to his ministry, but they were the people of God
John had disciples following him ... just as the Lord Jesus Christ had disciples following Him.

When John's disciples questioned John because Jesus baptized and all men come to him, John clarified that he understood his ministry as well as the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ:

John 3:25-30

25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

well and after they have neglected the truth from the father, this can happen, Leviticus 26:36, which means the light of the gospel is then hidden from them
and if you read further on, you will see that if they confess their iniquity (vs 40), then God will remember His covenant with Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham.

And read these verses as well ...

Leviticus 26:44-45

44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

If only the Great Physician would graciously heal your intrinsic blindness....
Calvinists have no answer, but plenty of gloomy negative doomer condemnations.
This Israelite was devout, faithful, hearing, seeing. No problem.

[Luk 2:25-30 KJV]
25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name [was] Simeon; and the same man [was] just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Meaning of "Suppress" / "Withhold"
The Greek word used in this verse is katechō (κατεχόντων), which can be translated as "to hold down," "restrain," "hinder," "suppress," or "hold back". The core idea is an active, willful resistance to the truth that people inherently know about God.

Active Effort: It is not merely passive ignorance, but an active effort to push down or ignore the light of conscience and natural revelation because of a love for sin and a desire for independence from God's authority.
yes ... this has been explained over the course of many years ... to those who continue to katechō ...

2Pe 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
and consider these verses in Revelation 2 ...

Revelation 2:20-22

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space [Greek = chronos = time] to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

God gives time for folks to repent ... and during the time given, He reaches out to them ... there will be no excuse at the time of judgment.

Yes Christ is not revealed by the natural creation of Rom 1:18ff it is senseless to bring it up. By nature man at best can only have a natural heathenistic perception of a God.
tell that to these guys ...

Matthew 2:1-2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

and don't ignore these verses ...

Psalm 19:1-3 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Psalm 97:6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
