This naturally leads to the questions then: why is the heart corrupt and why do the different facets of the soul sin? Why is the heart wicked?...Jeremiah 17:9. Why does the Bible teach that it is the heart that directs the mouth...Luke 6:45...if the body has the soul in bondage? Shouldn't the mouth be directing the heart? Why is the source of evil thoughts said to be in the heart...Mark 7:22-23...if the body is in control? Shouldn't the source be the brain?

I have said it is not born corrupt it becomes corrupt. It sins because it is held captive to the sin nature (the body is not the sin nature) and lost in the dark. Whether it continues to go on sinning or whether it is drawn to God depends on what that soul prefers.

If you had understood anything I have said over how many months has it been? I would not need to explain this. How many times have I said the sin nature acts on the body to deceive the mind? I'm guessing you don't have a clue because you never seem to read what I say with any real understanding, either that or you are simply playing a game pretending to be stupid.

I have a myriad of posts in this forum explaining how the sin nature works and how the soul becomes corrupt. I'm not going to keep repeating myself ad infinitum.

But you seem to think that you can compare a dog's nature with human nature. Human nature is created in the likeness of God, a dog's nature is not. You are trying to compare apples with oranges. They are not created the same, they do not work the same.

All of this doesn't explain why the soul is exerting influence on the flesh rather than the flesh exerting influence on the soul.

I thought the phrase loved one and hated the other was an idiom. A phrase used to describe a precieved or real difference on a situation. For instance if a father had 2 sons and gave one 90% of the inheritance and the other 10% it was said he loved one and hated the other. It didnt mean he actually hated the other child.
