Oh dear, Roger, those who scream so much against God's sovereignty are really gonna go into conniptions about Him causing us to obey. Their attitude regarding God acting unilaterally = He is an unjust tyrannical monster kidnapping people against their free will.

Right, but the natural man is always hostile in his mind towards God. So how is it that some don't act in accordance with the natural man's propensity when the gospel is preached? Why are some under conviction while others are not? What happened that caused some to be placed under conviction and respond in obedience? Who put them under conviction?

They erase the natural man from Scriptures and rewrite 1 Cor 2:14. Or they simply do not know who the natural man is,
which is evidenced by their constantly ascribing to him qualities and characteristics possessed only by the spiritual man.

Know what you mean. I make coffee in the bedroom, and it becomes flooded with the smell of coffee. First cup is always the best
