God loves those who are IN Christ, i.e. His elect (1Tim 1:14); therefore, God cannot possibly love the world in the distributive sense with a personal, intimate, filial covenantal love, unless one posits that the entire ungodly world is IN Christ! This is why Jesus didn't pray for the world in Jn 17 that so many boldly allege He loved so much! IOW, God loves NO ONE, with the kind of love described above, who is outside of Christ! And this biblical fact squares nicely with God's New Covenant promises of instilling the Fear of the Lord and spiritually circumcising the hearts of only his covenant people. Those promises were never made to the world In fact, all the promises that God made to Israel and the Church are "yes" IN Christ (2Cor 1:20). Therefore, they are "no" to those outside of Christ!
John 3:16. It reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

Freewill.png

"Free will" in the Bible? ~ Freedom is something believers are called to (Galatians 5 verse 13). We need Jesus to “set us free” (Galatians 5 verse 1). If Jesus has not freed us from the bondage of sin, then we are still slaves to sin (Romans 6 verses 6-7). Freedom is found in the presence of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3 verse 17). Only Jesus can give us true freedom (John 8 verse 36). Only through His lovingkindness can we truly make choices unfettered by a nature that is inherently hostile toward God.

Nor is there any "wiggle room" for salvation outside of God's chosen, covenant people. Christ came to fulfill the oath his Father made to Abraham -- and to all of Abraham's spiritual descendants (Lk 1:72)!
The Reformed traditionalists are referring here to the "kidnapped-lobotomy-shotgun wedding" crowd.

Right?

You know......the crowd who never drank the cup of the covenant of their own volition, nor believed AFTER hearing the gospel.
Just checking. Because it follows what you believe about God regarding Mary.

Scripture may be wasted on the FWer but there are others reading along who
no doubt come to a deeper understanding of what is really happening here,
and what any true discussion is about, since many wrongfully assume that
having any kind of choice is what is under view, and not what Scripture says of man.
Yep there are those who are more polite in there dismissiveness,

Patience is key I guess, oh well as long as your ok now, what's been said upto now may well fall on stoney ground and not flourish just yet for some, but it can further down the line.

You know the scripture about the seeds that fell in stoney ground.
The parable of the sower

People who hear the word of God with joy but have no real understanding of faith, quickly fall away when hard ship comes along or persecution

Because there understandings of spiritual matters have not yet matured.

We should take heed to this as we have all been there, but at the same time we still must guard our heart
So it's important to remain kind and act in kindness and be patient, I understand all that.

Ok magenta take care bye for now.

religious snobbery at its finest. The freemasons got nothing on unwillers.

There are many who are initially dismissive, thinking that being able to choose what colour of socks to wear proves man has a will that is free, but that is a very shallow view of man and not at all what is under consideration, since it has no bearing at all on the eternal fate of one's soul... what is really under view is what Scripture says of the unregenerated man: being a lover of darkness and a slave to sin, blinded to the truth, under the power and influence of the wicked one, captive to the will of the devil, incapable of obeying or submitting to God, refusing to come into the light, unable to receive or comprehend the spiritual things of God which he is actually opposed to as a God hater etc etc and much of it too is dismissed by the free willers, because many of them are Pelagian heretics. But to those reading along who are not Pelagian heretics and see the truth of Scripture presented? Glory be to God for opening their eyes to the truth of the matter.

Pelagianheretics.png

Pelagian heretics insist man is inherently good. From within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness. Mark 7 verses 21-22 Every inclination of man's heart is evil from his youth. Genesis 8 verse 21b Who can bring out clean from unclean? No one! Job 14 verse 4 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Matthew 7 verse 18

They really do not like the fact that "belief truly precedes regeneration" ... seems very triggering!

It is important to dismiss a false doctrine and protect the true Gospel of salvation in biblical plan of salvation, faith then regeneration.
Period!!!

IOW, God loves NO ONE, with the kind of love described above, who is outside of Christ!
And since YOU SAY that God has no choice but to do the "pre-birth sovereign lottery" debacle, then He actually loves NO ONE, and NO ONE loves Him either! The super-determinists have confirmed this principle over and over again until their keyboards short-circuit.

God is love, indeed.
Yet your doctrine does not allow for any true expression of it, nor can it truly exist.

And there you go @Rufus. The end of the road for your doctrine.

They really do not like the fact that "belief truly precedes regeneration" ... seems very triggering!
Oh? Do you equate it with how much God's sovereignty triggers FWers? Or how much
you despise the fact that God personally reveals Himself to whom He chooses?
That really seems to trigger you. I have seen you go into conniptions over it.

Well you just had explained to you that the verse your argument hinged on didn't say what you purported. What other verses make the case?

You actually did not.
Nowhere in your rebuttal did you prove regeneration preceded their belief.

Yea they do get triggered around here. Whenever they get knocked off their high elitist horse.
Or the love of God......FOR SOMEONE NOT IN THE CLUB......enters the convo.
