All men are "totally depraved" by nature. But that doesn't mean that God leaves all men in that condition.

We know that.

But, did you have something informative to say?

Or, do you just like throwing fruit out of a ten-story window and do not bother to concern yourself with where it will land?

All men are "totally depraved" by nature. But that doesn't mean that God leaves all men in that condition.
Too true! God rewards the man of flesh who uses his flesh to do what Jesus said was impossible!
Well, that is according to the logic of those who adhere to their vain self-exalting theology, which
goes against dozens of Scriptures which explicitly claim otherwise. And we must not expect too
much of those who reject what Scriptures says, after all, since in the words of Scripture, they are fools.

So God is at the mercy of men. Your God is too small.

So God makes a decision that man must abide by and you see it is as man defining God?

It's no wonder you don't understand how things work. Maybe you should change your name to "wordtwister", you seem to be very good at that.

His people consisted far, far more than just the Jews. Jn 10 and Jn 17 both strongly allude to the Abrhamic Covenant. Therefore, "his people" = Abraham's spiritual descendants which consist of Jews and Gentiles -- precisely the two groups prayed for. Also, get up to speed on Rom 4 some day.

It's the context, señor!
Stick with the context!

Don't time travel in such matters.

Jesus came to his own people.
Yet, fully knowing that later on he will expand.

All only sometimes means all.

When speaking about the pre-selected, it means them specifically of course.

We were preselected. Chosen before the foundation of the world, "in Him." (Eph 1:4)

Out of all whom God knows would believe?
God chose only certain ones to become the Bride of Christ!
Therefore, He predestined us to be born during the Church age to have us believe in Christ.

It is not as if the Calvinists have only wrong information, and have been denied truth to correct themselves.
Calvinists can never admit when they are wrong.

They had become arrogantly elated and proud to think what they choose to believe makes them intellectually superior ones.
It's an elitist elation. Arrogance knows no bounds.

Sovereign King Jesus created the one and only gospel truth proclaimed to the ends of the earth with the express purpose of insuring that no one could (or would!) believe it?
Man does not hear and believe without the work of the Spirit! Belief is a fruit which is given by grace.
But, you try your best to make it a required work of salvation!

after all, since in the words of Scripture, they are fools.
point of clarification ... "fools for God"

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty
.

Keep in mind.

Demons witnessed to it all unfolding and know things that happened as the Church went on God's offensive.
They know details and facts.

So, just because you can sense you are inspired?
Does not mean it is from God.

So if what you have been inspired to post contradicts the truth? well...

But, on the other hand? You may simply be an evil-minded person with a photographic memory.

You are not fooling anybody.

Your function is to confuse baby Christians.
Not us.

Go back to the play pen.
You are ineffectual here.
No more than a mosquito buzzing around someone's ears who has been sprayed. .

Evil-minded = promotes aggressively false doctrine.

Not to mention that Jesus literally says He prays not for the world.

So Jesus says He prays not for the world and He prays for those who will believe as a result of the disciples ministry, but that means He is praying for the world and not the disciples and those who will believe.

Twistin'. Twistin'. Twistin' the night away.
The world~~Mankind

The world~~cosmic system.

The Lord Jesus Christ did not die or pray for the worldly cosmic system, He died and prays for the world(mankind.)

He is the WORLDS Savior(mankind.) He is not the WORLDS advocate( cosmic system.)

God allows them to stay around to give us something to challenge our thinking to keep growing more in grace and knowledge.
It is a Romans 8:28 matter.
Well, the calvies most certainly challenge Gods Justice. Arguably, this is the quality/character of God that they most attack. Justice is salvation. Christ fulfilled God's Justice. And to say that salvation is anything less than equal opportunity and equal privilege is an attack on His perfect righteousness/justice.

I'm your view, God is at the mercy of your choice. God just left everything up to chance. Your God is too small.

It's not that I don't understand, it's just that you're wrong.
