Firstly no I do not wish to mold you into someone else I simply want you to understand the way to debate and to have the mind of Christ not one of a battle fanatic

Secondly that verse does not mean to justify fighting each other the fight of faith is not against each other but you seem to have it in your mind it does and that it justifies fighting each other but read the whole chapter before you pull a verse out of context it says something entirely different

Here is an answer....

Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

2 Timothy 2:23

It's a supposed analogy that demonstrates grace in action not found in scripture. There actually is scripture that demonstrates grace in action...Acts 2:37.
Fine. Cameron does not grasp it.

OK.. I can live with that.

Move on.

I was just pondering and praying about some of this. I think there are a lot of lessons being taught by the Spirit on this topic. Do you recall quite a bit of teaching associated with the phrase "eyes on people" vs. "eyes on the Lord"?

To me, that's a very common phrase.

I believe the teaching, "People testing," covered that aspect.

I am not sure why some will not answer but I will answer yes Jesus Christ is Lord of my life and anyone who confesses this is a believer in Christ
Jesus Christ is Lord in my life as well ... you and I can sail on to heaven's shore together Blain
.

Of course I've shared about Christ. You asked me how I would answer a question that never was asked. Why do you believe it wasn't asked? Because they already know. And it wouldn't have mattered how I answered. You would find fault.
Amen you’ve definately shared this on several occasions over the past three years or so I can say for sure

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Does it say faith comes by the word of God. It doesn't. It says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Word of God produces hearing. Hearing produces faith.
The way you understand it is hearing the word of God produces faith. That's not what it says.

“Does it say faith comes by the word of God. It doesn't. It says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. “
yeah hearing comes by the gospel because it’s preached lol is what it’s saying and faith comes from that ….that’s how it’s a gift from God he sent it out to everyone ….your literally quoting from a section explaining that brother lol comon !!!

Again instead of explains to me what this verse must mean

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

read the section you’ve plucked ot from lol there’s even a prophecy about it hahaha my goodness Cameroonie your a slippery one for sure

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then ( this is a conclusion of what he’s just been saying out the gospel being preached by those who were sent ) faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That isn’t meant to be taken out of what he’s saying and used to say something opposite . It’s meant to read and accept and let that be your new thinking …..it doesn’t needto be redefined and re interpreted and explained just read and accepted it’s already Paul’s explaination plain as day

faith comes from hearing and believing the gospel

We’re saved through faith

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s nothing else that gives us faith but his word his word to all of us is the gospel

“preach the gospel to every creature.”

It will be man’s salvation or his damnation

I've never been asked the question by my children. They were taught from an early age that salvation was of God, that I believed they were children of promise, and that God would come at some point in their lives and make Himself known.

I also shared story after story in the Bible where God did the same thing to many, many people. God came to Adam and Eve. He came to Noah. He came to Abraham. Jesus came to find His sheep. The disciples were instructed to go to people. And one day, he will come to you. Can't imagine a more encouraging message than that the God of all glory would seek and save them personally.
amen Cameron ... God's Word tells us to keep His Word in our hearts and teach His Word to our children ...

Deuteronomy 11:18-20 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates

I believe our schools should teach the book of Proverbs to junior and senior high school students ... maybe we wouldn't have such a generation of knuckleheads that believe such utter nonsense we see going on these days ...

It is to bad that they don't teach that in school and honestly maybe we wouldn't have such confused kids if they did I recently learned about a 12 year old who identifies as a racoon

Eight ?!!! Wow my goodness so By Saint …. Do you mean desperately insane maniac ?
Psalm 127:3-5 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

my daughter is a teacher (grade 6) ... she told me about a kid in her classroom a couple years ago who meowed ... wouldn't answer questions ... just meowed ... so frustrating for her and so disruptive to the other kids ... she finally got through to the kid, but don't know if the the kid reverted once my daughter was no longer the teacher. she spent a lot of time with that kid..

So duplicitous, it's unbelievable.

Whosoever believes Cameron, not whosoever does not believe.
Aplogies if I am misunderstanding but aren't believers saved? I am not sure what is so wrong about him saying that

Now you're catching on....God predestined all those false doctrines just like he predestined Eve for salvation, Judas for hell and all the evil that befell Joseph in the OT.
There you have it. From the horse's mouth.

So when you read God saying things like this, just remember God is really angry at His own secret decree, truly schrizophrenic view of God:

Jeremiah 8:7
Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the LORD.

Isaiah 1:3
The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

I really dont know how you can believe this. Why are so you commited to a position that is CLEARLY unbiblical and causes a lot of problems on just surface level bible reading. You cant read the bible much without noticing God's will is violated all the time.

God wanted the pharisees to receive the baptism of John, yet they rejected him. Because thats how God has ordained it, He has given us a will because we are in His image.

Luke 7:30
But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)

The mind of Christ hey? Here's something you might be interested to know.

When Christ came the first time he brought a sword, in the Greek it is a machaira. Matt.10:34 It is a long bladed knife usually used for slicing and dicing. It was the type of sword Peter, a fisherman, carried when he cut off the servant's ear. Jn.18:10

Now that Christ is ascended and glorified, the sword He wields is a romphaia. Rev.1:16 That's a big broadsword used to chop off heads, the sort of sword Roman soldiers carried into battle. That's the sword he uses when battling believers who refuse to repent of their evil. Rev.2:16

The moral of the story is no-one can tell another how he must fight the good fight. :)

1 Corinthians 3 v 19-21a, 1 Corinthians 1 v 19 ~ The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.” And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” Therefore, stop boasting in men. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

Cameron thinks one has to be regenerated before you can believe. To be regenerated is to be saved from death. It is what the power of the Gospel does. This effectively has him saved as an unbeliever. The order for him is saved, believe, faith but the call is to believe for God has determined to save believers and when one believes, God honours His word and saves and then gifts faith.
