If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9b
Yeah but what’s that have to do with saying it’s a fact that “we’re by nature spiritually dead to god “ and Jesus saying “ he’s not a god of the dead but of the living for all live unto him “?

It was a simple exchange he said one thing Jesus said the opposite in the gospel

It was this exchange

“ fact that man is by nature spiritually dead to god “

v jesus saying this

“For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have a spirit the holy spirit of Jesus comes to be with us a companion ….see

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus spirit comes to live within us with our spirit he’s trying to save and redeem from condemnation we aren’t spiritually dead we need the spirit of Christ to come lead us home being bound to the sinful flesh

man’s never been “ spirituallly dead “

“But there is a spirit in man: And the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭32:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, Searching all the inward parts of the belly.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we need the comforter and companion our good shepherd to come to be with us not replace us but save us and lead us home

His spirit witnesses together with our spirit that we are the children of god as the gospel proclaims

We have a spirit that needs to be redeemed because we’re all under a sentance of death because of sin

Jesus spirit comes to be with our spirit to guide and lead and heal and teach us Like it says here

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

We aren’t dead yet unless we reject salvation the our spirit will die in the second death and not be in spiritual prison or hell

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

that’s gods grace found in the gospel
Grace makes alive! Eph 2:5

Natural man is dead to God in sn, no question about it
Why did Jesus say no one is dead to god ? When he was asked about a dead man’s marriage ?

“For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Grace makes alive!

God's power of grace is directly involved in producing in us that which makes us to become spiritually alive.
Grace begets in us our human spirit that opens us up for knowing the spiritual.

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

.

Dead to God !
It really highlights some people’s unwillingness to self correct even when facing the words of the lord

“For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If I may suggest?

That means the God is the God of the regenerate. The spiritually alive ones.

Jesus' words in John 15 verse 19 and John 14 verse 17 ~ If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.
More inability for self-exalting free will idolators to deny...

Who’s responsible when someone doesn’t believe and is damned ?

God who is the First Mover (Primary Cause) and sinners themselves as Efficient [secondary] Causes. Does Rom 9 teach that God will have mercy and compassion on each and every person on the planet w/o exception? Did Jesus teach that he will give life to all men w/o exception? Or that He would reveal the Father to all men w/o exception? Or did Jesus pray for all men w/o exception in his High Priestly prayer in Jn 17?

Were they elect or not?

Elect has to do with the atonement of the Cross.
Election was for those who were born fallen by no choice of their own.

The angels that stayed with God were not created fallen.
They were as they were when they came directly from the hands of God.

You need to be able to grasp this reality if one is ever going to understand the state of God's angels.

Dang that word "CANNOT"! That word needs to be severely watered down -- which FWers are all too eager to do.
