I found a violin bow on eBay. The sellers was asking $100.00 + shipping. I purchased the bow because I noticed it was worth over 1,000 USD. It was risky investment becaues I could have been wrong. After I got the bow in mail I discovered that it was a true pernambuco bow worth over 1k.
Do you think this was an act of evil? Something sinful?
I understand this same concept with an auction. If I can win the auction for something for far less than it's estimated value I have done no evil here. It was an auction.
I think Jesus Christ spoke about a wise man who found a peril and then purchased. Also, finding land with something valuable on it, then going out and buying it. I know the lesson was about the kingdom of heaven, but, the parable is good for what I am trying to find out.
