How do I find out if I have a chance?
In 2 Pet. 1 it says "make sure of your calling and election," and Gal. 6:9 says "we shall reap in due season, if we faint not."

I would hate if this is a discouragement, but it might take years to make sure you belong to Christ forever. This is why faith has to go beyond feelings. I had the same question for many years of my Christian life. But I saw the Bible telling me to persevere, so I did. I sought the answer in scripture by reading and studying it, and sought God to tell me in experiential relationship. And I finally got the answer I needed. I believe in the God who gives answers as He promised He would.

I used to love God with my whole heart. I saw and experienced the power of the Holy Spirit very strongly in the church. When I was 14, I first heard about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I never gave it much thought until later kept on thinking about it. I looked up the verses and it spoke about what the pharisees said about Jesus Christ. I kept having these thoughts in my head and I didn't want to really do it. It sucks badly. One day, I was having these thoughts and I had some doubts and I actually believed one of these blasphemous thoughts about what the pharisees said about Jesus's miracles when they accused him of demonic power and I tried to rebuke it from my heart but it was too late. I tried to come to Christ and repent several times but nothing happened. No heart conversion or conviction of my wrongdoings. I hate myself. I just wished that I never heard about the unpardonable sin. It seems too late and I don't know what to do next.

Daniel, Why did you doubt? what was the spark that initiated it? You seem to have a problem with faith, your faith is lacking, I know that evil forces do influence us to do evil, it happened to Peter also he lost faith in the words of the messiah;

From Matthew ( NKJV)
21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Be Mindful of all things from GOD and do not listen to the words of men, beware of false doctrines. There are a lot of false prophets that are very active today.

Rebuild your faith read the bible meditate on GOD;s words, and commandments do what he asks, come back to him. if you are sincere he will not forsake you.

May the lord bless you.

Well I had thoughts about what the pharisees said when I was a kid at 14 and I believed that for a moment but I tried to stop myself from believing that at that age but it was too late.

Your only choice is to pray to God to fill you with His Holy Spirit to strengthen you because that is what is lacking. That is assuming that you've acknowledge to God that you are a sinner and have repented. Also, that you put your whole trust in His plan for your salvation through Jesus Christ. Remember that when they arrested Jesus and crucified Him, the apostles ran scared for their lives. Peter even denied Him 3 time. But when they received the Holy Ghost sent by Jesus after He was glorified, they all of a sudden gained the courage and confidence to go out and preach even at the risk of their lives.

You can beat this lack of faith if you want to, read the scriptures, it will come back to you, I strongly suggest also that you pray to the father, he knows your heart, and if he deems you worthy, he will help, you have to pray with conviction and sincerity.

One step at a time, do not expect a quick reply or change, you are being tested right now.

Peace

Well I had thoughts about what the pharisees said when I was a kid at 14 and I believed that for a moment but I tried to stop myself from believing that at that age but it was too late.

Your understanding and belief do not line up with the word of God.

It is never too late with GOD. I have met many people just like you who have, in some strange way, enjoy the false humility and condemnation and the attention that comes with the idea of being eternally damned or having done the unpardonable sin. To some, it is a kind of feeling you get playing with fire and not getting burnt.

it is always the something:

  • I asked God to forgive me, but he did not.
  • God did forgive me but I did it again
  • I blasphemed the Holy Spirit because of a bad thought I had
  • I have tried but God won't forgive me and I don't know what to do.
This mindset happens for only a few reasons :

  • the person has a mental illness or substance abuse
  • they lack attention from friends or any kind of social life and this provides the kind of attention they want in a social media setting
  • They are trolling
  • they were abused in a denomination that told them is they left them had blasphemed the Holy Spirit and could never be forgiven.
There are other reasons but this is the main one.

it comes down to whether are you going to believe the word of God or what you think you have done. There is no time for kid gloves.

You need to grow up and fly right. Get over it and live for the lord and put down the sin you know you have not because you have an addiction. You avoid answering the questions asked of you.

you were asked :

did you speak to your pastor? no answer.
did you seek elders and others to pray with you? No answer.
you were given the word of God that clearly says God forgives you, but you do not accept it.

The problem is not that you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit that Gd has not forgiven you, the problem is YOU.

Lack of faith
not agreeing with the word of god
needing attention

I tell you this because you are playing with fire and you need to stop. Get help. Get it now.

Unfortunately, I am trying to pray to God but I am so spiritually dry and dead that I can't even pray to God anymore.

I have talked to multiple pastors about this but I never told them this particular part. Isn't believing the blasphemous thoughts about what the pharisees said blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? I basically messed up and I haven't felt the same ever since. The pastors told me to rest but nothing could work. I feel deep in my heart that I am not forgiven at all.

when you repent and ask God, he is not a wicked taskmaster HE is FAITHFUL and just to Forgive. You are not trying to pray. You have accepted the lie.

wrong! If you did not tell the Pastor all the truth you have told a lie. The issue with your understanding of the story told in the Gospel of Matthew about what Jesus said means you were and are unbiblical. Your feelings are not true.

Did you ask for prayer and tell them that you accepted what you read in Matthews about what the Pharisees said as true about Jesus?

the big question is do you still believe that? I would think the answer is no.

The issue is you. Not God . the issue is your feelings Not God forgiving you.

I really did not want to go to hell forever. I messed up. I think that I should go back and talk to a pastor about everything that happened to me.

first off don't listen to a person who tells you God can't forgive you. But you are the reason you have this issue, not GOD.

you want to embrace a lie about God that is you and on you. Some will find it hard to take you seriously.
