So your point is to try and get back at the evil corporations by burdening everyone else with higher cost? Don't get me wrong, I have no love for many of the corporations who have sided with the Demoncrats, but forcing higher cost upon them is only passed on to the average Joe.
It does not have to be a flat sales tax. Luxury items can have a much higher sales tax, essential food items can have a much lower sales tax.
Saw today that a 4th booster will soon be available.
They've also said boosters will be needed every 5-6 months, which insinuates the immunity wanes pretty fast. I.E. it's not "protecting" like it should. Vaccines that have been around for ages generally only need boosters, what? Maybe every 10 years?
So I'm not sure how this is a conspiracy theory when we've flat out been told more boosters are coming?
True, we have lost a lot of great conspiracy theories as they are proven to be true.

Margret Thatcher said everyone should pay taxes too, do you agree with her? No one is above another, are you talking about equality or equity, the two are not the same.
The GDP numbers are abysmal and are signaling a recession at best, meanwhile this weekend will be when Evergrande officially defaults on their loans which is an $8 trillion dollar iceberg the world's economy has crashed into.
The only way to get the US economy back on track
Must do these three things
1. Get government out of the way -- stop insane government programs and let the economy take over. (No way this corrupt Biden regime is going to do this, the main point of the election fraud is the big steal, the $10 trillion).
2. Unblock the supply chain -- Biden is powerless to do this. It has nothing to do with a shortage of Truck drivers. This appears to be due to treasonous behavior involving these countries trying to overthrow our government.
3. Allow small businesses to prosper again -- get rid of vaccine mandates. It is not going to happen. This would be the equivalent of unconditional surrender by the Biden administration.
Even in the best case scenario the vaccine mandates will cause a dip in economic performance for a few months and that has yet to be reflected so the next quarter will be worse than this.
Must do these three things

I don't think making every corporation contribute to the tax pot is the equivalent to "getting back at evil corporations". I don't want to get back at anyone... I just want all corporations to be taxed. I don't even want the mom and pop shops to have the luxury of being tax-free at the expense of finally charging big corporations taxes...
This is my ideology. People on welfare living below the poverty line should still pay something in income taxes. Yes, that would mean some of their own income tax goes right back to them in the form of food stamps to help feed their family. This doesn't mean I'm heartless as many liberals would think, I just believe EVERYONE needs to contribute to some capacity. We should all have skin in the game so to speak.
This is equally true that multi-billion dollar corporations ought to pay something in taxes. The fact mom and pop shops are paying only makes it more horrific that we allow big corporations off the hook and lean on the underdogs for tax revenue. Everyone should pay, no exceptions. We would have to remove lots of loopholes in our tax code.

I once worked for a man that said he needed to make one million a year to support his wife and kids lifestyle.
He said he did not care how much the government raise his taxes.
He would just raise prices and or cut payroll so he would still make his million.
I suspect that is the felling of all these rich people and corporations.
The working man will still pay ALL taxes.
It's sad that you miss so much with your tax corporations mentality. Corporations are not people and taxing them more often than not removes money that could otherwise be used to expand their businesses and hire more people, and the more jobs that are available usually translates into higher wages.
Often times corporations are owned by stock holders which can be just about anybody who has a retirement account and those taxes rob many people of a portion of their retirements not to mention those who own stock outside of their retirement accounts. Taxing corporations also encourages politicians to accept large sums of money from lobbyist on behalf of corporations in order for them to get preferential treatment. Sadly all that money Politicians pocket comes at the expense of the tax payers.
For the most part we are over taxed and under served by our Government and removing as much burdensome taxes the Government gets is a good thing all the way around.

The only people who want extremely complicated tax codes that we have are the wealthy (they can afford tax consultants that know the loopholes), CPA's being an expert in this justifies their high salaries, and the IRS (again the code requires quite a few extra jobs)
Sales tax is simple, would all but eliminate CPA's and IRS and the loopholes that the Billionaires use.
It is stupid to tax corporations which is why there are "tax havens". What you want are corporations to be successful, to be profitable, and to employ a lot of people. It is stupid to have complicated income tax rules. Property tax makes sense and sales tax makes sense.
You can discourage people from buying luxury items or hummers, or some other item that is deemed harmful by simply putting a higher sales tax on it. Billionaires who don't want to pay tax on multimillion dollar yachts and mansions can instead invest the money which in turn creates jobs and helps the economy.

If you want to buy a Mercedes and they are charging 50 or 60% tax on the car the people will be wondering why the government is spending so much money. It is a naturally regulating system where those who are generally the best educated and tuned into politics would see the biggest cost from big government.
Our current tax code is upside down where Warren Buffet pays less in tax than his secretary.

It's sad my point keeps going over your head. I am fine with removing all corporate taxes in favor of a higher commercial tax because that evens the playing field for mom and pop shops in comparison to the big corporations that current pay nothing. I believe in equal opportunity but not equal results. It's impossible to legislate equal results but we can legislate equal opportunity.
I want mom and pop shops to pay the same percentage of taxes that multi-billion dollar corporations pay, not more or less. You seem to be defending the tax-free corporations while ignoring the mom and pop shops that are paying. Why? I understand your point and I don't even fully disagree, I just want the SAME treatment for ALL corporations, not just the ones at the top. Hopefully this is more succinct and clearer for you.
You're actually talking about a separate but related problem, campaign reform. That is something else that needs to be addressed. The solution to campaign reform isn't to continue letting the top corporations be tax-free while stepping on mom and pop's throat.
