A local baptist church is ran by a woman. What are some examples that you have seen?
She does not preach or teach, but every thing is done here way or it is not done,
Baptist churches have, in the past rejected the universal church.
They taught that all the saved are he children of God but they stayed with the original meaning of the Greek word translated church, which was a LOCAL VISIBLE body.
I still hold that belief. Each local church being the body of Christ in the community they minister to.
Many have adopted the universal belief.
Many have in their doctrinal statement that Jesus could come at any time and rapture the universal church.
This was never taught in Baptist churches before about 1870.
A controversial subject that is not agreed on in any church I have been in in the last 50 years.
