I really am new to the forum (I think, unless I took too many Ambien...) but I liked the comments. The internet is a difficult place, especially for sensitive topics. On top of that, moderators are really not better than the trouble makers who, I have noticed, are often witch-hunted. They become objects of derision and people get a power trip. I've been in that situation in real life when it seems funny to threaten someone's job and gossip and I not only did not speak up, but I gave into it.
You know the moderators have their own secret areas and threads. Why?
They can come up with a million and one excuses and that is all it is. Websites are privately owned and free to do as they please, but what moderators of a forum do is not the practice of a jury in a free society.
Is a web-board being protected from bias with rights that important? No really, but I think the secrecy is a breeding ground for destructive gossip and rumors.
Interesting take.
I couldn't find an emoji that could express my reaction.
I am also new here.
