Probably "Let the Hurricane Roar" by Rose Wilder Lane. It wasn't REALLY good, but it was good and very enjoyable. It did, however, shamelessly borrow from Laura Ingalls Wilder's works (at that time unpublished).

Have you ever read a book that you loved as a kid, and then reread it as an adult and discovered it wasn't such a much? If so, what book?
I've not read any of Rose Wilder's books. My sister read Farmer Boy about Almanzo's childhood and said it made her hungry because it described all of the meals they had, lol.

I've actually read many books I enjoyed as a child and thought they were not really good as an adult. I must have checked out every Nancy Drew book in the library as a child. I tried rereading one as an adult and could not stomach it, the writing was so poor. Some get better though, and I got more out of reading as an adult than as a child, like Alice in Wonderland and Winnie the Pooh. Books like these are literature as opposed to just light reading, like a Nancy Drew.

Which game show or reality show would you compete as a contestant?

How about making PCB (Panama City Beach) a part of Alabama?
You know, years ago (I think the 1950s or 1940s), there was a big campaign for the Florida panhandle to become incorporated into Alabama. Pensacola was all for it, that's the reason why the fair in Mobile is called The Greater Gulf State Fair. Mobile and Baldwin counties were going to join up with the panhandle to make a new state called The Greater Gulf State. They basically said we have more in common with each other than the rest of our parent states. But Alabama and Florida said "no way" so it never came about.

So, yeah it would be a good idea. :)

What was the best field trip you went on in school?

What one thing would you grab if your house was on fire? (Your family and pets are already out safe)

The hose pipe!

What do you think of people who hope to live on another planet?

It is a pipe which is normally used to transport water.
Do you own a cat?

Nope. Though there are some farm cats around that I'll scratch behind the ears if they will let me get close to them.

What is the biggest pet you've ever owned, and what is the biggest one you've wanted to own?
