For those who are confused:

For a short time this morning there was a shill advertising custom frames. Then the moderator took the advertisement down.

Sorry to disappoint but...

I'm much more nerd than good ole boy. I'd be more at home at a LAN party - as the guy making sure everybody can connect - than at a campfire.

That's almost perfect for seoulsearch though.

I've met 2 of the above members, one is fairly accurate and one is way off.
(In character as what that post portrays me as...)

Yup.

Ironically, back in the 90s when I had long hair (and so did Lars) I did bear a slight resemblance to him. But fedora and trench coat wearing Lars? Nah. Haha.
But I did think I already posted a pic here. Perhaps not.

This post cracked me up!

Thanks so much for taking the time to look up all these pictures and post it, @Eli1!

People have been comparing me to Connie Chung from the time I was a child, because at the time she was pretty much the only Asian face on TV that people knew (seeing she was on a nightly news program.) But to be honest, I've never thought I looked anything like her (she's elegant; I'm much paler and very girl-next-door; I also think our eyes are very different,) but I just chalked it up to the All Asians Look Alike Syndrome. :D

It's interesting to me that my CC friends who've met me recently as an adult would say that can still see a resemblance.

Several years ago, I was in a restaurant and the waitress kept staring at me -- she later explained, "I thought you were Margaret Cho!"

I don't think I look anything like Margaret either, lol, but seeing as Ms. Cho isn't known for very savory things, I'll go back to the comparison with Connie any day (and I realize Eli had NO way of knowing what I looked like; it's just intriguing to me that people who DO know what I look like would still see a similarity to Connie.)

Anyways, I'm back on page 17 for anyone who wants to see for themselves... And goodness!! I had no idea the picture was going to show up as a full page :oops:, especially if you're on a computer -- sorry about that!!!

My current avatar is a real picture of me that a friend ran through a filter that turned you into a cartoon.

This fits me perfectly because if you met me in person, I would most likely be wearing a t-shirt with characters from old Saturday morning 80's cartoons (Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons -- the cartoon show only -- and Super Mario Brothers are my current favorites.)

I had a similar experience yesterday.

I was sitting in a restaurant, reading my menu, and I couldn't help but notice that the waitress was staring at my upper body.

Initially, I thought to myself, "Boy, those home excercises must really be paying off."

As it turned out, a crow had apparently left a big deposit on my right shoulder while I was hanging on a post in Mrs. Greenjeans' garden earlier that day.

To make matters worse, I never ordered any food.

Why not?

I suddenly remembered that I was stuffed.

Page 17, huh?

I'll take a peek.

@Eli1 Thanks for posting #705 LOL

I clicked on the first one and it pulls it up in a giant window (I'm on a PC) and I had more of a chuckle than I've had in quite a while.

I've had a couple of mental images of people I got to know a little bit through text and it does happen that "some" are accurate...which is interesting when it happens. Most people are just their avatars to me or something they said as part of a larger discussion in life.

Maybe I'll post "another" pic at some point...Or make a CGI avatar but I'm rather attached to my generic reinvention of what the site gave me as a default :p
