This post cracked me up!
Thanks so much for taking the time to look up all these pictures and post it,
@Eli1!
People have been comparing me to Connie Chung from the time I was a child, because at the time she was pretty much the only Asian face on TV that people knew (seeing she was on a nightly news program.) But to be honest, I've never thought I looked anything like her (she's elegant; I'm much paler and very girl-next-door; I also think our eyes are very different,) but I just chalked it up to the All Asians Look Alike Syndrome.
It's interesting to me that my CC friends who've met me recently as an adult would say that can still see a resemblance.
Several years ago, I was in a restaurant and the waitress kept staring at me -- she later explained, "I thought you were Margaret Cho!"
I don't think I look anything like Margaret either, lol, but seeing as Ms. Cho isn't known for very savory things, I'll go back to the comparison with Connie any day (and I realize Eli had NO way of knowing what I looked like; it's just intriguing to me that people who DO know what I look like would still see a similarity to Connie.)
Anyways, I'm back on page 17 for anyone who wants to see for themselves... And goodness!! I had no idea the picture was going to show up as a full page
, especially if you're on a computer -- sorry about that!!!
My current avatar is a real picture of me that a friend ran through a filter that turned you into a cartoon.
This fits me perfectly because if you met me in person, I would most likely be wearing a t-shirt with characters from old Saturday morning 80's cartoons (Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons -- the cartoon show only -- and Super Mario Brothers are my current favorites.)
