Depends on the product. If it is reputable, then it won't track and sell your data. Since Google is already tracking us and our data is collected by everyone and his dog, we are at a real disadvantage. I won't use my phone for financial transactions of email. I use Ghostery anti tracking/ad blocker. It seems to help. Sometimes sites detect Ghostery and won't load until you suspend it.
It's frustrating. I'm careful but my credit card was scammed anyway. I had to get a new one. I still don't know how my details got out. One thing I realised is that my credit card has had the same number for years. Also, there are some malicious apps that simply generate vast numbers of credit card numbers to see if one gets through. I check my bank every day to look for unusual charges. Even then, it was my bank that picked up a dodgy charge. What is really strange is that the security code was scammed as well.
