Genesis 1:1 «And it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them. »
Here we are just told about men getting more numerous.
Genesis 1:2 « That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair ; and they took them wives of all which they chose. »
The verb used is see (in fact, it they are seeing). So we can imagine that angels take time to take the decision to leave their position. They knew perfectly they would disobey God. Then the next verb is take (they are taking wives) so they married women.

Just the disrespect shown here on this forum of God's word makes me want to shout ...STOP IT....from the roof top.
Then I am reminded .........God is a tolerant, loving, considerate forgiving God which He has had to apply such with each one of us sometime in our life.
It is humbling...to say the least.

First some angels disobey God and go to the earth and take wives (Genesis 1:2). Then God decides to put a limit to man’s life (Genesis 1:3). Knowing what angels can do according to the Bible and taking into account the fact that they disobeyed God, there was no way back so they took advantage of the situation which could only get worse and worse. And then (Genesis 1:4) we are told that their sons (the nephilim) became mighty men and men of renown who also took advantage of their strength. They were taught by their fathers (fallen angels) to behave badly according to their will. If we read about the Greek mythology we are told about half gods who spend their time fighting and using violence. And there are more mythologies telling the same.
Well when we read the Bible, we can see that the big majority don't care. The best example is when the Israelites go out of Egypt and make a covenant with God and just because Moses spends too much time in Mount Sinai (for them) so they decide to make a golden calf and God wants to annihilate them and make a nation of Moses. But Moses calms God down. When the Israelites arrive at the doors of the promised land, 12 spies go to Canaan and when they come back, 10 say they say they will die if they fight against the inhabitants of the country and they don't care about god's help. Only two spies say the contrary putting faith in God. As a result, all the Israelites (all the adults) die in the desert except the two spies. And so on...
The disciples needed to learn the way of the Lord. When Peter said,
Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. Mk.14:29
he was sincere, which is why he attempted to defend Jesus with a sword. It was the only way he knew how to fight. He needed to learn how to fight against evil the way our Lord does.

When we are in a classroom, we can disrespect a teacher if we don’t speak properly to him or behave badly. But it is also the case if we don’t listen to him or if we do something else when he speaks. Now if what he says isn’t interesting for us, we can tell him and give arguments, it isn’t disrespect. It may help the teacher become more interesting or at least take into account what we say.
In a forum, people may feel free to only visit it if they don’t want to participate or they can participate but it is on ly based on freedom. Here there is no dictatorship. Now when people participate they may be right or wrong, it doesn’t matter. People can answer them or not telling them they are right or wrong and give them arguments otherwise it is only empty words. But in both cases, it is always interesting because when you try to answer you also have to look for arguments and say things you wouldn’t have said otherwise. I have been on this site not for a long time but I have learned a lot because I always check in the Bible and I have to make a lot of research everywhere. Sometimes (not many times) I don’t answer because I don’t think it is the right time and because I will have to spend too much time (and it means really a lot) so I have to make choices. But I am always looking for new experiments and the possibility to learn more doors. You can’t just listen to people, it’s necessary to be active. Jesus would always answer people and correct them if necessary or tell them they were right except when he didn’t answer those who were accusing him because he had to die !

Let’s say he was impetuous like a volcano during an eruption ! He couldn’t prevent from acting ! But yes he was sincere ! And he was the one to start baptizing the Gentiles and in particular the Roman army officer Cornelius and other people and they received holy spirit and he baptized them (Acts 10).
