3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

Well, according to v6, that explains those preachers who have been messing around with weak women getting caught lately. :D
V6,7 &8 reminds me immediately of Perry Stone.

Yes. I am not sure how you realize how bad it is in europe.

Mocking Jesus is a serious topic that raises many questions for Christians. Throughout the Bible, we see moments when Jesus was ridiculed and made fun of. These situations remind us of the pain and suffering He went through for our sake. Understanding what the Bible says about mocking Jesus helps us appreciate His sacrifice and teaches us to treat others with respect.
Today, we will look at specific Bible verses that mention mocking and discuss the lessons we can learn from them. By reflecting on these teachings, we can better understand the importance of reverence and love for Jesus, and how we should respond to those who choose to mock Him.

We all have witnessed moments where we see mockery unfold, especially in the context of our faith. Jesus faced ridicule and disrespect throughout His life on earth. These instances of mockery were not merely for entertainment; they held deep meaning towards His mission and sacrifice. We recognize the sorrow that mocking can cause us and understand its spiritual ramifications. Jesus endured mockery to fulfill His purpose of redemption for humanity. When we grasp these verses, it helps us recognize the severity of mocking and encourages us to promote compassion and understanding instead. By reflecting on these teachings related to mocking Jesus, we can deepen our faith and reverence for Him, recognizing the challenge of remaining steadfast in our own faith amidst a world that sometimes mocks it.

“And they twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.” – Matthew 27:29
This verse illustrates the intense mockery Jesus faced during His crucifixion. The crown of thorns signifies His suffering, while the mockery highlights the disdain of those around Him. It serves as a potent reminder of how we often ridicule what we do not understand. We should learn to approach all subjects, especially our faith, with respect.
Mark 15:31

We often face mocking not just towards Jesus but within our faith communities. The Bible teaches us about the attitude we should adopt when mockery arises. Instead of retaliating with anger or bitterness, we are called to respond with love, understanding, and humility. These responses illustrate core Christian values and reinforce the need to reflect Jesus’ example as He faced ridicule. By understanding these verses together, we grow in perspective on how to deal with mocking, which can bring us closer to Jesus and solidify our faith.1 Peter 2:23

“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.” – 1 Peter 2:23This encourages us to turn to God during times of mockery. Just as Jesus entrusted Himself to God, we are reminded to lean on Him for strength. It teaches us the power of patience and faith; instead of engaging in mockery, we can trust in divine justice.Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:10This Beatitude reassures us that facing mockery or persecution in the name of Jesus holds great value in God’s eyes. While we may feel alone in moments of shame or ridicule, we are promised blessings in the kingdom of heaven. This motivates us to keep the faith and remain strong against mockery.Romans 12:14

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” – Romans 12:14Here, we receive green light on how to respond to mockery. Instead of retaliation, we are encouraged to offer blessings. In doing so, we create pathways for forgiveness and healing around us. Responding with kindness over mockery mirrors Jesus’ example of love and compassion.James 1:19

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” – James 1:1

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” – Proverbs 15:1
This wise saying shows us the importance of our tone in conversations, especially during mockery. A gentle response speaks volumes more than harshness. Choosing kindness over hostility can halt cycles of mockery and aggression, paving the way for constructive conversations around faith.
Philippians 2:4
“Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” – Philippians 2:4
This verse emphasizes the importance of prioritizing others. In the context of mockery, it calls us to consider the pain or misunderstanding behind someone’s ridicule. By fostering empathy, we create an atmosphere ripe for healing and growth, nurturing our community in Christ.
Galatians 6:2
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
This powerful reminder encourages us not only to share in joy but also in the burdens of others. When we are faced with mocking, it’s essential to remember that everyone carries their wounds. Compassionate support can break down barriers and foster deeper connections.

Mike Bickle, Todd Bentley, and Dr. Michael Brown as well.

Its sad how many teachers have been caught using their authority to fool those who they are supposed to protect.

These teachers havent been disqualified either, as their followers either do not believe the credibility of those who have opened up about the sexual misconduct, or minimize the damage.

Mike Bickle sexually abused many young women, Todd Bently as well. Dr Michael Brown was not physically sexually intimate with young women in his congregation, but he had been writing to one romantically/somewhat sexually while he was with his wife. He also had touched her in places a man ought not to until married.

Sometimes I wonder where the accountability is. Like we as the Church should stand up against these people, and withhold our ears from them as far as the pulpit goes.

Or maybe there would be a better way to deal with them.

Yes, and when mocked on CC I try to resist the temptation to respond in kind but instead be kind and keep to discussing issues.

There IS accoutability. However, these false preachers/teachers must remain for a time to do their job for the falling away, for it is not finished yet.

Well I definitely agree that God will hold them accountable, but at the same time I do believe that the body of Christ is calling them out as they ought to. They are still ministers in the Church, though they've been proved unworthy for that role. I understand they must remain, but I do not think they should remain as is. I think they should be deplatformed, which then their online ministry would most certainly continue. At least they wouldnt have as much of a opportunity to physically hurt women/children.

The only way I can see this happening would be to pray, spread awareness, and pray some more for a change of hearts/minds. A lot of their congregation/s have been brainwashed into believing lies that make the innocent guilty, and the guilty innocent.

Many who I would like to consider brothers and sisters are decieved into supporting abuse within the Chruch, I would like to see them freed from that.

The reason perilous times will come is because of an increase in selfishness, greediness, arrogance, self exaltation, lack of love, increase in sin, increase of offending people, and other behavior that exalts themselves and neglects people.

That will cause people to fight more with each other, and hurt each other more.

Which Jesus said since iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold.

Also their behavior will cause them to do something to stop their behavior which they will adapt a system that is contrary to God which their behavior will cause it to happen for they accept it.

And that system not only works for peace but also adopts a religion that exalts people with no personal God above them which when they say Peace and safety sudden destruction comes upon them.

Also because of the increase of hypocrites that have a form of godliness but deny being led of the Spirit and love sin more than God will cause the world to not regard Christianity making the world a worse place.

Which will cause the world to not view Christianity as the solution for the world.

Christianity is the standard for morals and love so the more they look bad in the eyes of the world the worse the world will become.

So the question is did the world adopt the beast kingdom because they became highly arrogant, or did the bountiful amount of hypocrites not caring about the poor and needy, loving sin more than God, fighting with each other, and cannot agree do it.

God includes the hypocrites as part of the reason perilous times come.

In which much pain, and suffering, and chaos, and hurt will happen.

The Bible says turn away from them for they give Christianity a bad name, and also to show the world that there are Christians doing right and do not associate with them in hopes the world does not look at Christianity in a bad light.

If we fellowship with them then the world will not see the distinction so clearly.

Any person who says they cannot abstain from sin they are sinning.

But they deny the Spirit to enjoy sin which if a person does not want sin and allows the Spirit to lead them they can abstain from sin for they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

And God will deliver them from temptation.

They believe they are alright but the Bible says they do not come to the truth.

it is clear that those who are opposed to Moses are also opposed to truth, especially because the Law of Moses is truth (Psalms 119:142).

The Law was fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross.

-"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."
Romans 10:4 NKJV

-"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."
Romans 8:2-4 NKJV

Notice, “the last days” began at Pentecost and continue through the dispensation of the New Covenant.

And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: (Acts 2:17)

…hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds; (Heb 1:2)

Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. (1John 2:18)

Now these things happened unto them by way of example; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come. (1Cor 10:11)

…but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake. (1Pet 1:19-20)

Some periods of time may be later, but to assign a technical prophetic meaning to “the last days” is misleading. A more technical term for that last day is “the last day”, the day of resurrection and judgment: John 6:39-40; 12:48.

Can you illuminate?

I don’t see anyone opposing Moses!? The Law was fulfilled in Christ, when He died on the cross; He nailed it to the cross.
You can only have one covenant in effect at a time so we are all under the New Covenant.
