Romans 8:29
[29] For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Not sure how this helps your 4 point Arminianism argument 😅
Finally, somebody speaking my language 👍
Funny how the ignorant (uneducated) call us pharisees because we use "legalistic sounding words". 🤣 Cracks me up that someone can argue against the doctrine of Grace yet not know the difference between synergism and monergism.
Synergism/synergy is...
False but it's ok, that's what most synergists say.
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
You remind me of that watcher guy that got banned a while back 🤔
Romans 9:18-24
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God?Shall the thing formed say to him that formed...
Romans 7:3
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Curious how folks read the above verse, what conclusion...
It sounds like you may have been converted recently. Congratulations.
Keep prayerfully consuming the word and stay off this site as much as possible, for a while at least, they’ll try to crucify you around here for claiming faith is a gift 😅
Where did Christ teach the offended spouse could remarry? Matthew 5 & 19 does not explicitly give permission for the offended spouse to remarry. However, Mark 10 and Luke 16 explicitly denies ALL remarriage which would include the offended spouse.
Devils advocate continued:
One may be able to force a remarriage permission out of Matthew 5, 19 but Mark 10 and Luke 16 clearly shows ALL remarriage as adultery regardless of the reasoning for divorce.
So in these verses Jesus clearly taught fornication only divorce with all remarriage being...
You’re not thinking it though.
In other words the limitation proves the permission, divorce and remarriage must occur in order to limit the original couple to remarry.
Again, even permanence folks call this portion of scripture the Deuteronomic permission, because any way you twist it’s still...
@presidente
Please take the time to think this all the way through.
If Deuteronomy 24:1-3 is God simply stating an example of common practice that Moses allowed and the only limitation God places on this practice is not to remarry your original wife after she’s married another, then you still...
Agreed!
But let me play devils advocate for a moment 👇
Luke 16:18 ESV
Divorce and Remarriage
[18] “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
Clearly Jesus taught all remarriage is adultery.
I don’t know how to say this without coming across as smug, but it’s clear that I’ve explained beyond your current level of research.
As I said before, I’m glad to discuss the leaks in my view and help your with yours, but I have no desire to argue for the sake of arguing.
