    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

1 Corinthians 1:8 is a statement of what happens when you choose to fulfill the emphasis we read in verse 15:2 or other examples like choose to remain, choose to abide, choose to hold onto, choose to obey and there's several more but you know what I am saying here.

    Saved by faith alone?

God chose Abraham to be the father of many nations so God already knew what Abraham would do before Abraham knew what he would do.

    Saved by faith alone?

Do you believe that before God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son God already knew what Abraham would do? Because if you believe God knew beforehand then your post makes no sense.

    Saved by faith alone?

For the natural + Christian Jew and the Christian Gentile Abraham had always been called our father concerning the faith. This was well before Jesus Died and Resurrected. So no matter what kind of spin you are attempting to place on Abraham the Christophany Covenant made through Abraham...

    Saved by faith alone?

Yes, that is typically how it happens and the correct order of events. 1. You get saved 2. Then after you are saved you do Godly works because God uses you for His purposes.

    Saved by faith alone?

That is completely taking what Abraham did so far out of context it's literally ridiculous. Abraham did works because he was saved not to be saved.

    Hermeneutics: Interpreting Scripture

One thing is clear that John is presenting a warning. It seems to me that whenever a warning is implied or applied that a consequence is involved with the text. And that explicitly tells me that this is not a time to assume the understanding but should be taken to the extreme viewpoint in...

The problem of the statement of “never saved to begin with”

The Apostle Paul enlightened us about this very topic which is the premises of this very thread. 4 For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to...

    Saved by faith alone?

I am saved by the works Jesus did and the Faith I believe that He did. But by the works God does through me proves who my Faith is in.

She was eventually but originally she was Proselytized but you just choose to deny the Bible truth for your own interpretation.

The Holy Spirit and Salvation !

It wasn't Ruth, it was God who allowed it.

The Holy Spirit and Salvation !

Well tell that to Ruth who became Proselytized and the grandmother of king David and in the same lineage of Jesus listed in the first chapter of Matthew. That proves it's possible because she is listed in the heritage of Jesus and joined naturally before becoming Proselytized.

The Holy Spirit and Salvation !

Some people learn about God in the natural sense before being revealed in the spiritual. We see this with the Gentiles who became Proselytized Jews and converted. They knew about God in the natural before the spiritual. Even in the lineage of Jesus from David we see this happening.

The Holy Spirit and Salvation !

19 Because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without...
