    Vaccination?

Thank you for your comments. It does seem that a lot of things are pointing to a nefarious agenda. I am keeping my eyes open.

    Vaccination?

I believe people should prayerfully research the benefits and risks of the vaccine and do what they fell in their heart is right, seeking guidance of the Holy Spirit. I have mixed feelings about the vaccine. I have been considering getting one for weeks, but the fact that it does not always...

    predestination vs freewill

Yes, in that paragraph I think RC is speaking of two imputations: the imputation of our sins to Christ on the cross whereby He takes the penalty of sin on Himself, and the imputation of Christ’s righteousness to the believer. Since salvation is by Grace through faith, I would hold that...

I pretty much have the same view of justification and imputation as this article. https://www.ligonier.org/posts/doctrine-imputation-ligonier-statement-christology

    predestination vs freewill

I do not believe in the charismatic view of Spirit baptism. My view is much closer to the conservative Baptist view. We pretty much agree. I may have been unclear, or we may define some words slightly differently, but I think we believe the same thing.

    predestination vs freewill

I prefer “ credited” as in a balance being added that came from someone else, ( ie the righteousness that comes from Christ). In the OT, sins were placed on “ forebearance” until Christ came to pay the debt for all of God’s people.

    Not By Works

The imputation of righteousness is the imputation of the Righteousness of Christ. No way that could ever be “earned”. You are correct. It is a free gift.

    Not By Works

Faith is necessary for salvation, but it in no way earns salvation. If it did, we would have a ground to boast, but let no man glory in anything save the cross of Christ. Salvation is by Grace, through faith. And the only work that earns or merits salvation is the Work that Christ has done.

    predestination vs freewill

I kind of subconsciously thought in 1 Cor 12:13 , Paul was using synonymous parallelism. Subconscious, because I read it that way without actually consciously thinking “ this is a synonymous parallel.”

    predestination vs freewill

Yes Yes Not sure about second paragraph. It seems that we are baptized into his body in time. Being baptized into His Body is equated with drinking of one Spirit, is it not? 1 Cor 12:13. I always thought of that as one event. Do you see it as two? I guess the grammar does allow for that, but...

    predestination vs freewill

I agree with the last paragraph. The reason Paul always mentions Spirit Baptism in the past tense is because we are baptized by the Spirit when we believe. I don’t know if I agree about being a member of Christ’s body before we believed. I believe we were Elect though. If in my study of the...

Addition to previous post responding to you. Re. Justification I believe there are two aspects to justification. a. The forgiveness of transgressions b. The imputation. Of Christ’s Righteousnes It is not enough to be cleared of sins of commission. Our privation of righteousness must also...

    predestination vs freewill

    A. The death I was referring to was the death of the old man resulting from being crucified with Christ. B The Reformers teach that faith is preceded by regeneration. Therefore, salvation is not of ourselves, but it is from first to last, a gift of God. I agree with most of the rest that you...
