This is alarming and just want to make people aware of it

I agree. But I must admit, when I watched the whole thing from Nov 3 on, it looked like Trump would actually do something about it. Then when he walked out & left, I felt like I had been watching a big political soap opera on both sides. Especially when the Democrats start throwing lies & hate...

    Rev 1921

Here's the thing... you seem to be a spot-on guy when it comes to most Bible stuff. That's a compliment. Yet, here we are with something plainly written that my 11 yr old grandaughter understood it was only talking about the city from reading it, yet out of nowhere you can't figure it out. I was...

When you said 'hired hand', the words 'internet sockpuppet' came to mind. Was that what you were thinking?

    Rev 1921

Testing 1,2 3... can U hear me now? Maybe I need to print a little louder. What part of the city don't you understand? I haven't seen a single verse of what you said.

Did man land on the moon?

Does anyone remember when they showed the lunar module circling the moon & landing? Someone wanna tell me WHO was doing the filming?!?

    The Books of Enoch.

I don't have a problem that the date of the original prophecies were written. What the problem is is that the "book"/"complilation" was written at 164 B.C.E. . In other words, someone else compiled the prophecies into 1 book at that time. How hard it is to get through to some of these guys!

Did man land on the moon?

No. too many reasons: Solar flares could incinerate the ship on the moon. Internal temperatures of the ship due to electronics. Have you ever been in a server room with the air conditioning off? It's like being in a black car with the windows up in the summer. The air conditioning alone would...

Ok, show me proof of what you found. I'm a reasonable guy, & I'm waiting.

    Rev 1921

I'm beginning to wonder about you. What part of that don't you understand? It only says the New Jerusalem would forever be lit. Sheesh.

Mark 1:15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” I thought I would make it a little bigger so you could see it. Matt 3:8 New International Version Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. New Living Translation Prove by the way you...

    Forgiveness: Conditional or Unconditional?

    Repentance is a condition. Mark 1:15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God [l]is at hand; repent and [m]believe in the gospel.” Matt 3:8Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance;

    "Rightly Dividing" 2 Timothy 2:15

Brothers & sisters, don't be baited into an argument. That's the Devil's way of doing things. The ones baiting you isn't worth losing your witness over. God only knows how many times I was responding to a post the past few days & had to stop & delete it. They're not worth it. The Bible says to...

    "Rightly Dividing" 2 Timothy 2:15

It is my opinion that they didn't for 2 reasons: I read somewhere(can't remember) that the translators had trouble with koine Greek, thereby causing inconsistancies. If I don't come to that conclusion, it would have to be a worse reason, because not only the KJV 1611 had those problems. I recall...

    The Books of Enoch.

Ok, you got me on that.:) While the book was written about 164 B.C.E., It would apparently have to be a compilation of actual letters written by Daniel or a contemporary of his. The accuracy of the text, as well as the consistant writing style of Daniel, suggests to me that the book can be...

    "Rightly Dividing" 2 Timothy 2:15

Perhaps I should try again. They translated "from" koine Greek, but they didn't translate well because they were "trained" in modern Greek. Hope that works.:)

    The Books of Enoch.

Is that also the time the 70 elders of Israel changed into the Sanhedrin? When pharisees & saddusees were formed? When the traditions of the elders were written? If so, I wouldn't touch writings from that period with a thousand foot pole!

    "Rightly Dividing" 2 Timothy 2:15

Perhaps the real problem is the KJV translators only knew modern Greek, & not koine Greek. I know of several times the KJV would be totally different from modern translations like the ESV or the NASB. It wasn't just a 1611 language problem, either.;)

    submit a bible question

Honestly, I have to wonder why you posted this. I could post a question because I want to look smart. I could post a question because I want to start an argument. I could just start a new thread & make my point. Why would I mix it in with this one? I'll just pass on this for now...:)

    The Books of Enoch.

Since it is true that anyone's writings before Noah would have perished in the flood, none of Enoch's writings are original. The only reason we have the first 5 books of the Bible is because God had Moses write them after the flood. I also don't see any OT writers quote any writings of Enoch. If...

    The Books of Enoch.

I would not recommend it. The book has multiple sections by different authors, & believed to have been written at different dates. For that reason alone I wouldn't recommend it. The church has a tough enough time discerning what the canon has to say, let alone something unverified. I wouldn't...
