We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

If you honestly don't know what the fight is about, you haven't been paying attention. Ask yourself whether you can stop making stupid, unsupported, insulting, accusative, and judgmental assumptions about others. Ask yourself who started the thread with unbiblical claims. Ask yourself who is...

Alcohol - a world wide phenomena

Nobody is asking you to forego God's word. I am asking you to look honestly at the other verses... the ones that don't support your position.

    Forgiveness.

Genuine biblical forgiveness has several components... acknowledging the reality of the offense or hurt, the damage caused, the wrongness of it, and the fact that it can't be undone. It means choosing not to hold the offense between that person and you, but rather to consider that offense as...

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

This doesn't support your allegorical view of the garden of Eden. It speaks about Melchizedek only.

Is this the lie that started many false teachings?

On what do you base this assertion? Jesus wasn't speaking to the church; He was speaking to the disciples in about 30 AD. Look at the other uses of "generation" in the gospels, and tell me whether they refer to "the church".

Alcohol - a world wide phenomena

There is only one side for the person who refuses to see the other side.

Is this the lie that started many false teachings?

Revelation 11:8 says, "Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. Jesus may not have been crucified "in" Jerusalem, but He was crucified at Jerusalem, and not anywhere else.

Is this the lie that started many false teachings?

"I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." (v.34). Either Jesus was confused, or lying, or saying exactly what He meant.

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

I don't see (at all) how that verse, or your explanation for it, are defenses for a figurative interpretation of the garden of Eden.

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

My intention was not at all to divert, but to address squarely what I perceived. If I was wrong, I apologize. I was talking about the man made “ Positional righteousness “ doctrine that’s something people invented and wrote in a modern book from Calvins ideas and theories. no One has accused...

Devoting my life to Christ and question on saints

Yes. Christ IS God. :) Read the first chapter of the Gospel according to John for more information... and when you're done reading the first chapter, read the rest. ;)

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

I'll give you one, and then you can respond with one defense for it. Jesus referred to Genesis as literal history in Matthew 19:4.

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

I don't rule it out "without justification"; I have plenty of justification for doing so. :)

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

I understand, and think that such an approach to understanding Scripture is inherently flawed and, frankly, silly. ;)

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

How would you know? You haven't yet demonstrated that you rightly understand any verse of Scripture.

The latter two quotes have nothing to do with your point... and you yell a lot, indicating that you are insecure.

We need to take another look at The Garden of Eden

They were, yes. The garden of Eden is long-since destroyed. If you think that the garden of Eden was purely allegorical, then why to the genealogies trace back to Adam? What is the origin of sin, or marriage, or clothing for that matter? Where did the earth and heavens come from, if the record...

What is your motivation for tithing?

I would modify what you said: "If your pastor or church is demanding tithing, leave that church."
