That is simply incorrect. Moslems, Jews, Mormons, and JW's believe that the universe was created, as do many North American indigenous peoples. Many other faith systems have non-evolutionary creation accounts as well. Widespread belief in evolution and the big bang theory are relatively recent.

No, it definitely does not state that, clearly or otherwise. It says that the lights in the heavens are for seasons, days, and years. They are merely the markers we use to measure and count time. Time itself existed back in verse 1: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
