WHY DO A LOT OF CHRISTIANS EAT PORK, BACON, AND HAM, WHEN GOD FORBADE EATING SWINE MEAT?

So please tell us where in Scripture to find this alleged "moral law".

WHY DO A LOT OF CHRISTIANS EAT PORK, BACON, AND HAM, WHEN GOD FORBADE EATING SWINE MEAT?

I disagree... given that there is no Scripture telling us which specific commands are "moral" and which are not, and that we are to operate by the guidance of the Holy Spirit rather than by the letter, I don't believe that "we are under the moral law" holds water.

WHY DO A LOT OF CHRISTIANS EAT PORK, BACON, AND HAM, WHEN GOD FORBADE EATING SWINE MEAT?

There is no passage of Scripture supporting this theory. ;) There is Scripture that refutes it, in Galatians 3:10 and James 2:10. Galatians 3:10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in...

WHY DO A LOT OF CHRISTIANS EAT PORK, BACON, AND HAM, WHEN GOD FORBADE EATING SWINE MEAT?

To the thread title... Bacon. Additional reason: We aren't under the law.

With respect, you are confusing the issues. Discernment is distinct from prophecy; that’s why they are identified separately in 1 Corinthians 12. The passage you cite states that the word of God is a discerner; it does not give you the manifestation of discernment. Further, please proofread...

Again, why are you arguing this point with me? I’m beginning to think you just want to argue and are looking for excuses to do so.

When you're ready to have a real conversation, you'll leave off with the asinine rhetoric.

    Is personal Diserment scriptural.

In your response to me you said this: “Every single account of prophecy in the old testament is a direct result from manifestation of the holy spirit and not a gift as such, but you could see it as one.” and “if you do not choose to see prophecy is a result of manifestation of the holy...

    Is personal Diserment scriptural.

No, it's simply the wrong word. "Rights" in the sense of God-given inalienable authority-based privileges, are mentioned only once (that I'm aware offhand), in John 1:12... Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God Gifts of...

    Sexual Sin?

There's no need to attack a fellow Christian with such rhetoric. I am well aware what lust is. If you read the rest of my post, you will see my reasoning.

    Is personal Diserment scriptural.

It’s not a “right”; that’s just the wrong concept completely. Prophecy is a gift given to some, not to all (see 1 Cor. 12:29 in context). The case of the 70 elders does not indicate anything of the sort; rather, it is a narrative passage which does not teach that concept but only informs what...

    Is personal Diserment scriptural.

No; prophecy is the Holy Spirit giving you a message for another person or a group of people, not speaking to you about your own situation.
