RINO begs democrats to push for impeachment

"Republican Strategist" reminds me of that Voltaire quip about the Holy Roman Empire being neither holy nor Roman nor truly even an empire.

Starbucks now wants their employees to become "Color brave" and refer to their stores as a "third place"

I just get Peets at the store and rock it out with Aeropress. My dog enforces a strict no-loitering policy.

    President Trump Pardons Dinesh D'Souza.

I do not like D'Souza, but even Alan Dershowitz thought the prosecution trumped up his charges.

    What's in a Name?

He knows. I spun it as a hostile conquest rather than a conversion. I found Baptism brick and made it marble. :P In my latest move I realized I have not regularly attended a Presby Church in 3 years. That and I've never found the paedobaptist/thoroughgoing covanentalist/Presbyterian church...

    What's in a Name?

Yeah, I've recently re-converted too. But since I have arrived by way of the Presbyterian church, I am more Reformed than he. :P

As tensions with Trump deepen, Europe wonders if America is lost for good.

I very nearly had to finance a surgery. Looking down that barrel was horrifying. No, nimrods. Socialized medicine is not the answer unless you want to call a roll of duck tape, aspirin, and a pat on the back American healthcare.

    What's in a Name?

Eleanor is the grandmama referenced in the post above! :D I see how the Carillo's seal resembles the Castillian castle. Very cool! My Welsh peasant last name kept me a little more down to earth. Well, brother, I have some Spanish royalty in my background as well! Jimenez via marriage into the Plantagenet line. Don't get too excited. My English side of the family quickly fell down the social tubes after the War of the Roses. They ultimately became humble Baptist farmers around the Great...

Change can be an agent of preservation. In this case, I think it is. My interest in CC has been renewed.

    What's in a Name?

If I ever survive an apocalypse, I'm changing my last name to my grandmother's maiden name. Her family is the one I grew up around and it is their legacy I wish to carry forward. The rest of my heritage is but a genetic supporting cast. As for my first name, I'd keep it.

    The state of the world

Moral questions may be at the basis of political ones, but their taxonomical distinction relates to questions of authority. Let's pick something you and I agree upon- shoplifting is evil. A man is caught stealing by a loss prevention officer. Who is best suited to judge the shoplifter? An...

    Single, curious, new

I'm not single, but I think what helped me stay content in the single days was staying busy and reflective. Read, write, and live.
