Can no longer separate sex from sin

    I don't drink alcohol.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

Of course I would. Problem is it never really goes beyond that. I've always been introverted and quiet and polite so it's easy for me to lose a person to someone else after only two sentences, in big social places anyway. I don't want to butt in 'cause I don't want to be rude.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

I want it to be mutual. The bible says if you want friends, you have to be a friend.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

It's funny that when people hear those on autism are capable of love and showing affection, just in a different way, the former question the diagnosis of the latter rather than re-examine their preconceived ideas of love.

I know. If only the general population were more patient.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

Spock's father said it best about people like me. "Emotions run deeply within our race. In many ways, more deeply than in humans. Logic therefore is a defense mechanism. A way to make sure you control your emotions so they don't control you."

There are different levels of autism. Mine is the closest to quote unquote "normal." That's pretty rare, especially in girls. I find it hard to fit in with most people of autism as well as "normal" people. Spock doesn't fit in with either Vulcans or humans.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

That's 'cause it's rare to watch someone in a movie deal with something I deal with on a daily basis.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

I only saw Star Trek 2009 and Into Darkness. I thought they really got the traits and mannerisms down. I was like, "That, is, it. Thank you! You understand!"

How would you know? Are you a Trekkie? 'Cause I sure ain't.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

Society still has plenty to learn about what it's like to be on the spectrum. Like I said in one of my previous messages, Spock is probably the closest example.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

I suggest that you do some research on being on the spectrum. This is not something I can grow out of. I was diagnosed at an early age had to learn how to give and take social cues, which most kids automatically know. Unless God works a miracle, I've got this for life.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

Yes, but it's not a natural thing for me. It's kind of hard to explain. I have a better time emotionally relating to animals than people. At least animals are always honest about their feelings. People are complicated.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

It's not that I don't want relationships, it's just that I didn't exactly come with the wiring to instantly connect with people on an emotional level.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

The other thing is that I'm on the autism spectrum. Relationships in terms of emotionally connecting is hard for me. I have a hard enough time with my family. And despite my years of attempts to make friends, I haven't had one close friend in years.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

And besides, marriage isn't for everyone. I haven't really had the chance to find out if it is for me or isn't.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

Because marriage is not promised in the Bible.

Can no longer separate sex from sin

That would be very nice. But I want to be realistic. If I wanted to go on a romantic high, I'd do drugs. Besides, I'm used to relying on myself.

I'll believe it when I see it. Guys don't flirt with me.
