Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

We are required to obey Christ and his law. Read Christ’s LAST instructions to his apostles just before he left the earth—we call this the “Great Commission”— Mark 16:16- “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that Believes and us baptized shall...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

I thought the original post was asking whether or not we need to keep it. It didn’t mention “salvation”.

    Faith is a work.

At what point does the blood of Jesus wash our sins away? Is it faith? When do we come into contact with his blood? His blood was shed in his death. Now read Romans 6:3-9. We were baptized into his death. Romans pictures us going down into the water a sinful man and coming up out of the water...

[ Galations 9:16,17- where there is a will there must also be the death of the testator ( will maker). For a will is of force AFTER MEN ARE DEAD otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator lives. Galatians 2:14-“ Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us...

Thank you for your concern.although I have no idea how anyone could think I was mixing the Old Testament with salvation. I re-read my post above and there is not one scripture or one comment about the Old Testament. Christ has a law too. Maybe that is the mix-up.

    Not By Works

xc See my thread on faith and works. Question. Is John 6:29 a righteous work that we are NOT saved by?

    Faith is a work.

Well I posted a thread about that but I will say again- there are different kinds of works in the NT. When you say “ not by works” what kind of works are you talking about? If you are talking about “boastful works” in Ephesians 2 then I am in complete agreement with that verse. I would never try...

What about Acts 8 where Phillip was converting the lost in Samaria. Verse 12 and 13 says that when they BELIEVED Phillip preaching the things about Jesus, they were BAPTIZED...every example of conversion in the NT has sinners being saved this way. Here are some scriptures. Please read and study...

The majority does not prove a thing right. In fact I think I am probably in pretty good company since Jesus said...straight is the way that leads to eternal life and few there be that find it, but broad is the way to destruction and many there be that go there in. No, it doesn’t bother me, only...

Well you are half right. But Campbell did not start the church of Christ. Study your history. It really doesn’t matter what church I AM A Member Of , what matters is what the Bible teaches. Let me ask you, what man started your church and when? Do you claim to be a member of the church that is...

Yes. We could ALL dwell in unity if everyone would throw away their man made creeds and go back to the Bible. Denominationalism is what is dividing us. Interesting that the word denomination means division.
