Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

Jesus, while on Earth, taught obedience to the law of Moses. Do you guys, in your church, observe the following? Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings. Leviticus 2:13 New...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

That's correct! For almost 30 years I believed that our focus should be on the four Gospels. They are very important indeed, but for salvation purposes we have to refer to Paul whenever we come across a "Jesus vs. Paul" disagreement.

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

And how would you answer the original post question? Jesus (while on Earth) never told His disciples to stop keeping the Law, but Paul did; Jesus said it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter heaven, but Paul said it is OK to be rich provided...

and therefore I think Paul was telling them not to make distinctions among apostles, i.e., to accept all of them.

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

I think all of them had the Holy Spirit and therefore all of them were reliable. Whatever they'd teach was from God and therefore applicable to the covenant they were in.

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

Greetings, S.Gardner! Paul, here, is not talking about some of his teachings having precedence over Jesus' teachings or the other way around; he is talking about choosing one preacher over another.

(a tad sad) "Hallo" from Germany

Hallo, Melli, willkommen in unserer Gesellschaft. I see what you mean regarding atheism because my mom's side of the family is all German. I think it would be nice for you to know the opinion of a famous Brazilian pastor about theology. He said: "I don't encourage anyone to go to college to...

The church has torn my husband and I apart

It depends on what their interpretation of the Bible is and on how extreme they are. My denomination is regarded as extreme because they don't use the media; don't allow politicians to speak to the congregation ; ministers are not allowed to get involved with politics; they don't teach...
