Once Saved Always Saved is True.

Losing a ring would imply someone’s own negligence or accidental circumstances. I’m really not sure where you are going with all of this. What I’m essentially gathering is salvation is not by works, but one can lose that if they coherently chose to reject Christ and His Gospel. It’s not...

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

While I certainly don’t disagree on the current state of the Western Church and it’s utter decline in sound theology, I still don’t believe that nullifies God’s promise to His people. We did nothing to earn it so how can we lose it? If we’re responsible for my own salvation, I would lose it...

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

I think we might be missing each other here. That certainly happens when a text conversation occurs. I’m not talking about a person who reads 3:16, makes the sinners prayer and believes God is obligate to hold to that legally they go about as a worldly individual. What I’m talking about is an...

You injected yourself, I didn’t come to you. The reason I brought up the JW is because they did indeed added and to the NT as well as the Mormons. We both know that. Who was John addressing than? Believers that pick and chose scripture in which they adhere to, or heretics?

This has become a fruitless conversation. Don’t sow discord Of course they added on to it. JW believes only 144,000.00 will be chosen from the JW religion. Obviously they missed John’s warning. Are you justing looking to argue with someone today?

I never said anything of such. You’re abrasive in your responses because of a belief that you hold. That’s pretty much it

Using those words does not make one a scholar nor correct. Why are you so hostile?

God also demands people and nations to repent, we both know they don’t. Enjoy the freedom and peace that comes from grace, a price that was paid not of human accord.

You’re trying to categorize me and peg me with a particular ideology and or group(i.e. the OSAS camp) That’s inaccurate. You seem to be pushing a “I’m right and your wrong” narrative and somewhat combative about it.

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

I didn’t want people to feel they need to appease God in order for their salvation to be guaranteed. Jesus never preached that nor did the Apostles. Too many have led fruitless lives because they want to live up to a standard they cannot accomplish. When Jesus said it was finished, it was...

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

That’s not really a counter point, but more of an opinion. I don’t mind having a conversation about such doctrine, but when it comes back to ad hominems, the discussion become futile.

None of this is an indication of losing justification of a true convert. These again are addressing people who have either rejected or believe that their works are needed in addition to Christ’s propitiation.

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

It does make sense. God does not sit in Heaven with a big red marker waiting to ex-out someone’s name if He already knew would respond to His grace and I would even go as far to say that God chose them and not the other way around. Also, the book of Hebrews was written to Jews who were...

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

I’m not a Calvinist, but I do think there is more evidence to that doctrine then that of Arminianism. People really despair over the latter. Hebrews chapter 6 has been a death blow to some people because it’s misconstrued. Not only do they believe they lost salvation, but it cannot be attained...

Would you say that a person sets their own destiny then? There is no argument, it’s just apply scripture correctly.

That passage from Revelation is directed at those who are not saved. No individual that truly belongs to the Lord will try intently distorted His Gospel. Think of the doctrines of Mormonisms, JW, and even some Protestant denominations. They preach another Christ.

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

I could see where you may have come to that conclusion by referring to the OT which was exclusively given to the Hebrews. Based on your understanding of scripture, can a person remove their name from the book of life by their own conscience decide to do so?

Once Saved Always Saved is True.

I’m not seeing how those verses indicate one can lose justification. That would mean one can give up their salvation due their own accord. That does match up with God’s nature as revealed to us nor does keep inline with His promises. Would it be fair to say that a persons name can be blotted...
