The problem with your argument here is that for you, “the word of God = KJV” exclusively and “Scriptures = KJV” exclusively. Since we do not agree with these propositions, there is no basis for discussing your points.

Um... what? I don't see anything in John 14 suggesting that Jesus wanted to keep Himself hidden from the world. He did say that the world would not see Him, but He was clearly talking about His impending physical death (and ascension). Perhaps you could unpack what you mean.
