The assembling to meet the Lord

But even if you disagree, the "standard storyline" does seem to answer the "How can a Omnisicient God not know everything" question. When you quoted John 10:38, do you mean that this text is in contradiction with this "standard storyline"? I don't see how.

Thanks. But I can't really take any credit for the dictation part. I'm using ElevenLabs Generative AI Text to Speech to produce the reading voice. My own voice might be reasonably OK for poetry reading, but I couldn't get the last vestiges of a Finnish accent out of it if I tried. :D

The assembling to meet the Lord

I believe that when God the Son became human, he chose not to access or exercise every prerogative and capability that he had due to his divinity. So it could be said truthfully that in the context of his humanity during his earthly life, he did not know such things, even though he did and does...

    Poetry Videos

Let's face it, you don't always have the focus and energy to read poems as pure text. And even if you do, adding the full audiovisual dimension can still enhance the experience. So I thought perhaps it would be good to have a thread where everyone can post links to videos that contain poetry...

    Two Adams

Here's a YouTube video version of this poem. I may have to slow down posting these here so that it won't look like I'm spamming the whole forum by lifting all of my old poems as soon as I make video versions. But I guess doing it three times is still tolerable.

    Dawning Day After the Storm

There may be similarities, perhaps just because there's some overlap in subject matter? At least I can't remember having heard or read this song/lyrics before.

    Dawning Day After the Storm

Yeah, I thought some of this may be hard to decipher. The central thought is about the future that God has secured for us. It's one of healing, restoration, renewal of proper relationship between God and his people, resurrection, and the victory of life.

    The Threshing Floor

I think this may be one of your best poems. It really manages to combine strong Biblical themes and imagery with a personal sense of emotion. Usually I just click "like" on this site without bothering to pick any other icon from the menu, but I had to use the "winner" icon for this one.

    Longing for the Light

I used ElevenLabs https://elevenlabs.io/ to convert text to speech (used the voice called Callum). One can use it for free with a somewhat limited daily quota. Also YouTube Movie Maker https://www.makeyoutubevideo.com/ (I used the free version). I hadn't really used it before yesterday, so I...

    Longing for the Light

Thank you so much. I actually just created a YouTube channel and posted this poem as my first video there. Here it is.

    Spirit Awaken My Sleeping Heart

This poem was a significant influence on my poem that I just posted: Longing for the Light

    Longing for the Light

The ending of this poem may seem a little bit abrupt and unresolved, but I think that's also the reality of where we often find ourselves in our longing for eternity in our lives. So while I considered adding something more, I decided to end the poem this way.

    Longing for the Light

I lift my thoughts to you in prayer Yet so often they drift away The ache of absence made me aware Of longing for you presence to stay My body made from soil and dust Grows out its prayers of only wood In thousand ways I spoil the trust Yet you work everything for good Your absence too has its...

At His Tomb Before Sunday Morning

Hope of people lies buried and wrapped In tomb's mournful darkness trapped A rock-hewn gateway to the realm of death Abode for those beyond their last breath Coldness of stone inside the tomb Reminds of warmer rest in the blessed womb Forces of the evil one still smugly gloat Not understanding...
