Once saved always saved (OSAS) debunked

Read the account of Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8. He was converted, he believed and was baptized but because he wanted to purchase the power that the apostles had and sinned thereby, was told to repent or perish. Subsequent to conversion if one sins, it requires repentance.

Once saved always saved (OSAS) debunked

It's not automatic. If you sin after you're initially saved, you must repent to he forgiven. You can lose your salvation.

Once saved always saved (OSAS) debunked

This is a second, separate post from previous obrdin this subject. OSAS should be renamed to correctly reflect what it's intended meaning is by those that use and embrace it. In that regard, the intended meaning is OSFS: Once Saved Forever Saved. OSAS is correct if considered properly. When...

I am a Christian who does not accept or follow Christianity.

I am a Christian who does not accept or follow Christianity.

Elders are leaders of the local congregations. Deacons, who do the mundane stuff, are under elders. The minister or preacher is also under the leadership of the elders. That's the extent of "hierarchy".

I am a Christian who does not accept or follow Christianity.

The problem with Christianity is denominations: denominations = division which is condemned by the bible. You are of the right mindset to want to follow only the bible, ad I do too; but in that regard, you must look for the church of the bible, that adheres strictly to it and follows its...

Why did John Baptize with water?

Yes. Jewish Christians but not those that John the Baptist baptized. They were not Christians. If you look at the book of Acts in chapter 19, you see the Ephesians were initially baptized unto John's baptism and when they found out about Christ, they were re-baptized in his name. You find the...

God's ONE Baptism For His Body!

Your comments make no sense. Read the scriptures s l o w l y. No explanation needed by you or anyone for what the scripture clearly says. Mark 1:4 4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Luke 3:3 3And he came into all the country...

    Baptism

There is no misunderstanding. Baptism IS a requirement for salvation as confirmed by many scriptures in the simplest of language. "Repent and be converted" means to accept the Lord rather than deny him, and be converted. Repentance is one of the steps in the conversion process. This is no...

    Baptism

Just a comment. The falling of the Holy Ghost as it did upon the 11 apostles as promised by the Lord as per Luke 24:49 must not be confused by Peter's words as recorded in Acts 2:38. One, the falling of the Holy Spirit, can be considered the baptism of the Holy Ghost which was if a miraculous...

Which Bible Verses Will Prepare You for the Post-Tribulation Rapture (and the Great Tribulation Before That?)

Once again 2 distinct questions were asked by the deciples involving 2 distinct events and time frames. But regarding end times (not the great tribulation), I see things starting to take shape that just a few years back seemed impossible. I'm with you regarding the one world government for...
