You’re missing the point. Live incidents can throw anyone off. And if does. Over and over again. You’re analyzing this in retrospect and then it all looks so simple.

You tend to forget the human element. There are decisions to make, fear of making a wrongful decision, fear of losing your job and fear of heat from the media. Added up the clock is ticking - fast.

I know this is difficult to grasp without field experience. Things take longer time than anticipated even if the operatives are well trained and experienced.
