I have stated the facts. You are talking about a normative approach to the problem. I’m describing what reality is. Now, is it so hard to understand that a detail of people will make mistakes? Is it so hard to understand that the authorities don’t know squat about most people?

You’re putting too much trust in what humans can prevent from happening. The truth is that security is more flawed than we would like to believe.

Yeah, but that’s not what we are talking about here. We’re talking about what security details are doing when there’s a possible threat. I don’t think a member of a security detail would take a shot at a possible threat hundreds of feet away. In war this is different. In war there’s not a crowd...
