If one believes the received text is inspired then one would have to believe Erasmus to be inspired and therefore a prophet. If so then all the things he said about free will and about the Papacy is also inspired, so you would have to be an Arminian and a Catholic, but the Catholic rejects the...
I do not support the Russian invasion. I put a lot of the blame on " the west". After the dissolution of the Soviet Union there was little to no attempt to reestablish; suddenly in 2014 Russia began reclaiming areas of the old Soviet Union, and supporting a civil war in Ukraine.
I would love to have a conversation with you.
I have very different opinions of the Russo Ukrainian war.
I am very novice at Greek. But I love the History of the Church (bible translation is a part of that subject) but a small part. The storys behind the translators are more compelling, and...
Prove that any scripture in the NKJV is corrupt.
It uses the Byzantine text. The same text Erasmus used to create the received text.
You do know Erasmus was a platonist and a Catholic scholastic who debated Luther in the Heidelberg disputations.
Like I said, the New King James is probably the best English translation we have. I think its better than the NASB because its readable, where the NASB reads rather awkward.
The NKJV corrects many of the errors of the OKJV .
So why not write goat or buck (because it generally references a male goat) rather than write satyr. Which proves my point. Satyr is a mythological demon while a goat is a real thing and in 1611 they were called goats.
The word there is.

Perpetual virginity isnt a sticking point. Yeah I agree its a weird idea, (there is no biblical comment on the matter so it is unimportant) and it does tend to lend toward the idolization of Mary. But not necessarily. Eastern Orthodoxy tend to go too far with iconism.
I think we ask the wrong question. Often its asked at what point are we in sin when we do "x". I think its best to just love Jesus and serve him. If we drink then do it in moderation. It isnt elemental things that are sin. It's a rebellious heart that is sin.
True and I now days prefer the New King James. I used to prefer the NASB, its not better than the New King James. In fact the New King James reads much easier and retains the integrity of the text.
