Scientology is a dangerous cultic religion

Family seems to attract more adults with marital issues than young people. Seems Teens or YA would've been best to aim at younger people. But that tv show has been on for some time espousing the evils of Scientology with first person accounts. My dad has told me that, decades ago, he went to a...

Does God have any regard for man's outward appearance?

If you take someone who's covered in tattoo's, has tons of piercings, never wears nice 'church clothes', even to church and is 'conformed' in their appearance, but lives daily for God with a passion. Then take one who has the 'right appearance' of a Christian, but is lukewarm, which one does God...

Is it healthy to feel this way?

Online depression tests are not the equivalent of being seen by a professional. Self diagnosis, or even diagnosing others, without a proper understanding, can lead to wrong conclusions. If you think you're depressed, go ask a professional. My suspicion is depression will not be a primary issue...

    Conservative Christians

The very act of opening a thread in a public forum opens it for the opportunity to become anything. Creating a thread with an expectation that it will stay on topic more than a page or two is just not going to happen. The restrictiveness of what you desire makes it unappealing. Freedom in...

    Strange question: Family curse?

I've never been a believe in the generational curse idea. One never wanted kids. You can't really count the one that never wanted kids as being evidence of some kind of 'curse'. They got what they wanted. So that reduces it to 3 siblings. One had kids. At this point 50% of your siblings...

Is it healthy to feel this way?

So you think for other people and decide FOR them that they are not interested, never giving others to decide for themselves. Then get discouraged that no one's interested. Funny how caught up people are about looks when finding someone. Look around. Most married people are not highly...

    Common ground.

I still find communication foundational. To me good communication encompasses a large number of other important qualities.

    Thinking about this forum...

I have not even been given the name of the doctor who would be responsible, so I have no way of talking to them. Though I did repeatedly ask for that information when i was in the hospital.

    App not working (Windows 10)

Adobe Air needs to be up to date. Make sure to run a check to make sure it is the most up to date version available. Most problems seem to stem from this one issue. If that doesn't work, hope someone who knows something comes haha.

    Thinking about this forum...

Exciting? Hmm. Last Saturday, early morning, I ended up in the hospital. I've had bad hips for a few years and one finally started giving me Real trouble. It became too painful to walk, so an ambulance was called. I stayed there until... Wednesday? Maybe Thursday. Then was transferred here to...

    Thinking about this forum...

This site, including the Singles are not half as busy, or friendly, as they once were. Every evening the Singles forum exploded with posts as people got off work. Friday and Saturday nights the Singles forum users would go into a Singles chat room that was up then, and spend hours in real time...

create a closed those who are being abused forum

From the stories I've heard pastors often tend to be more damaging in domestic abuse situations. Guilting victims into staying as if it is a sin to leave.

    Social difficulties

It Its true it can happen to all of us, but for some it is a more consistent problem and that, as the focus of the thread, is where I was purposefully speaking to. And leaving out the broader notion of the concept and instead favoring it to be tailored for the OP.

    Streams of Consciousness & Thoughts~~~

Another stretch in the hospital. This time due to my hip issues and basically not being able to walk from the pain. I was tortured by the x-ray techs. After speaking with an Orthopedic Surgeon the goal is to get my pain managed over the next few days to be able to return home. But getting put...

    Streams of Consciousness & Thoughts~~~

I remember as a kid having one repeating nightmare. As I got older and older it began trickling off. I probably haven't had it in over 20 years now. Bit I believe the last time I had it was late teens early 20s. I never did figure out why.

    Social difficulties

I've noticed some people are so busy presuming to know what another is thinking/feeling that they don't get out of their own heads long enough to engage in a real conversation. I would suggest quit trying to make a conversation these pre-determined concept of how you think it should go, get out...

Christian view on "night owl" life?

Been a night owl my whole life. Some people may be predisposed to it but that's generally considered die to your circadian rhythms being off. It is generally considered healthier to sleep at night, though. At least the last I heard on the topic. Newer studies may show something else.
