    Apologetics: witnessing to atheists

Y'all are too slow, so I'll go ahead and share my thoughts. Evil people punish/torture themselves by experiencing delayed karma, just as those who experience appropriate justice during this earthly existence also punish themselves or reap what they have sown and send themselves to jail. This...

    the Sabbath

Well, we need to take seriously the NT epistles that Jesus inspired and harmonize any apparent discrepancies.

    the Sabbath

SB, you are doing what the Jews who opposed Jesus did in rejecting his right as Lord of the Sabbath to amend it in agreement with the inspired Pauline epistles and Hebrews. Btw, On the seventh day God rested from creating the world but not from sustaining its functioning.

The word of God is not a secret code that needs unlocked.

Yeah. The KJV is fine but it’s a waste of time to spend half of it trying to figure out or a sermon explaining what the Elizabethan English means!

    The Gospels and the Mystery

I see your distinctions but not harmonizations. For example, Paul DID affirm the Lord's Supper in 1CR 11:17-29 and he DOES require baptism per 1CR 12:13.

    The Gospels and the Mystery

Paul's explanation in RM 1:20 is that by perceiving God's power and love as revealed by His Creation a person might be motivated to seek Him/His will, which MT 7:7-8 and HB 11:6 is salvific.

    Understanding God’s election

It corrects saying that "Belief is not a matter of choice; it is a gift, one not bestowed upon everyone" by noting that the gift/grace is offered to all but received only by those who freely accept it.

    Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

Right reasoning may not be inspired in the apostolic sense, but it certainly is derived from what the inspired apostles wrote. Consider for example this condensed passage from Titus: "An elder... must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others...

Yes, and hopefully our positions are the policies on the right.

In your opinion do you believe world is about 6000 years old

Well, there is no crucial problem with scientists believing that physics indicates the cosmos is 6 billion years old as long as they admit that apparently God created it, since there is no basis in physics to believe otherwise, right?

    The Gospels and the Mystery

Well, Gentiles unfamiliar with Israel could have been saved on the basis of general revelation per RM 1:20. Not sure how you think the Kingdom Gospel differs from the Gospel of Grace.

The Kerygma - God's Requirement for Salvation

Notice that the kerygma/Gospel fulfills and supersedes OT revelation, but does not contradict its correct interpretation (HB 8:6-13). However, the NT revelation of GRFS will never become obsolete (PHP 2:9-11, RV 22:12-13). Thus, new revelations from God’s Holy Spirit will not contradict the...

    Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

Well, our God-given right reasoning can help clarify what the canon of Scripture says, and I still suggest that harmonizing LK 12:10 with HB 6:4-6 leads us to the interpretation that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (of any type) is committing apostasy unless one is willing to say that there...

I was wondering who believes you can get unsaved.

We will stop arguing with God when we read His Word including those I have previously posted and harmonize the few that seem to teach once saved always saved with the many that teach the possibility of apostasy.

    Apologetics: witnessing to atheists

Yes, and this leads us to the question of what happens in hell; what is its purpose? Y'all go first!...

    the Sabbath

Yes. The main purpose of Hebrews, especially 7:18-10:1, seems to be teaching what you say.
