Do catholics worship God or the pope?

This is more like something from the totally fictional DaVinci code book, not Catholic catechism. I'm also Catholic and have NEVER heard this tripe before.

Do catholics worship God or the pope?

I can't believe the Peter in Rome, Paul is the true leader is still going on in this thread lol. Catholics view it like this; Peter was given the keys to the Kingdom by Jesus upon the cross Paul is the great defender of the faith and sorted out a lot of apostasy as the church was in its...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

Before I get crucified for 'misuse' of the word Eunuch, let me clarify it's meaning in Matthew 19 #1) Unmarried #2) May or may not be physically castrated #3) Does not have sexual relations with women PLUS does not have sexual relations at all. (A castrated Eunuch is incapable of sex) When I...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

I just want you to know that I do have a plan, guided by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 19:10-12 The disciples *said to Him, “If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry.” But He said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

On this point, I agree. Yes, this priest is Catholic in the video but he makes a great point about schools trying to normalise it. I don't think this is the way forward either. Sexuality is an adult matter and everyone should be taught the morality of the Bible before anything else.

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

If you're going to misquote the Pope, you should read the actual RCC teaching first. https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2018/04/06/what-official-church-teaching-homosexuality-responding-commonly-asked-question The RCC does not support sexual activity among gay people. It calls for them to...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

It also doesn't help when the leaders of said program decide 'screw this' and fall in love with another man and close the operation down because they realise what frauds they are. These 'programmes' were never anointed by God. But go ahead and victim blame on all those who went there with...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

There have been multiple Christian ministries come and go that claim to 'cure' homosexuality. A big one in the 1990's was called Exodus ministries. My family contacted them and tried to get me to join. Turned out they were nothing more than a dangerous cult and every single testimony I read...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

And how do you know this? Are you gay yourself? Scripture says nothing on the subject beyond specifically banning the sexual act itself.

Q: Covid madness in Australia your crazy funny stories

I think Australia's track record with stopping this pandemic speaks for itself. Yes we're overly cautious, but look at what happened in other countries where the people didn't take it seriously. To put things in perspective, the amount of people who have now died from Covid around the world...

    Beware of the "New Church"

Well now, that is just messed up. Meanwhile Satan continues to have a field day, destroying the old church with immense glee and fervour. I particularly love the way Judas Trudeau passes the buck, instead of honouring the wishes of those affected. I agree with the native people of Canada, the...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

You speak like a mystic, yet your thoughts are erratic and not well formed plus you bomb this thread with multiple posts that could be rolled into one if you slowed down a little. You can quote scripture yes, but it doesn't mean you are right. Even Satan knows the Bible - he tried to use it...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

Matthew 18:3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. I'm doing exactly what Jesus said to do. Thinking in simple, childlike terms.

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

So, if God sent an angel into your room and said angel showed you what would happen if you kept on living the life of sin you are, would you listen and try to change or just give up and say 'oh well, it's going to happen anyway' ?

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

Yes, prophesy does fall away because it is fulfilled and then becomes irrelevant because it has passed. It doesn't mean we should ignore it though. It simply means we need to make sure it's current and relevant. And no, fear of the future is not the reason for prophesy. God loves us so much...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

Nemesis is also the name of my cat. Just saying. 🤣 As for you saying that Satan is division, you are quite correct. The old words 'United we stand, divided we fall' were never more true. I actually came into this thread and made the revelation that I am gay fully knowing that it would cause...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

🙄 Really? I think the member who suggested you are clinging to ink on a page was quite right. I actually said I was not even attempting to quote scripture. And bit you're trying to suggest in trying to replace it because I coincidentally made a parallel. Here's a line further on in that...

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

I would suggest that he means we a) are made in his image and b) should we pass the 'test' in this life we get to become eternal like God. So we get to live as God does in his kingdom but we are not God, because we will still answer to the Trinity just as we do here on earth.

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

I wasn't even attempting to quote scripture..... These are basic human truths that you shouldn't need a Bible to be able to understand.

Unconditional love and the church's approach to homosexuality

I think you and I are done talking really. You are so focussed on righteousness that your heart has become hard as rock. May our Father in heaven bless you always, May his son Jesus walk with you and may the Holy Spirit be upon you :)
