What purpose is God carrying out during the Millennial Kingdom?

True, I'm not completely familiar with the MK doctrine. If I don't read about it in scripture, I won't be familiar with it. Just because something is widely accepted doesn't make it true. It's more likely to make it false. I'm neither RC nor reformed, just Christian. So the church is not...

What purpose is God carrying out during the Millennial Kingdom?

May I point out that when Jesus and the apostles were declaring the kingdom was at hand, that was before Jesus declared He had been given all authority and also before the church was established. You didn't address the kingdom Jesus describes. May I suggest the kingdom prophesied in the OT is...

What purpose is God carrying out during the Millennial Kingdom?

I suggest they do. The church is the kingdom. When Jesus sent out the apostles, before His sacrifice, He told them to proclaim the kingdom was at hand. During His ministry He describes the kingdom several times. Does His descriptions describe the kingdom you envision on earth or the church?

    Our New Home?

This is a deep subject and people have many preconceived ideas which can make it hard to understand. I suggest look at this spiritually. While most Christians view things spiritually, I suggest they have a hard time seeing far enough spiritually. The physical things in the OT were to help...

    Merry Christmas

It can be a good conversation starter. Especially to reveal truth.

    Merry Christmas

Shouldn't we do this the whole year.

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

The Arminian is biblical. Please consider the olive tree in Romans 11. Paul says a Gentile (wild branch) grafted into the tree will be cut off IF they do not continue in God's kindness. If they continue to do God's will, they are eternally secure. If not, they will be cut off. Also, a Jew...

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

I agree with most of what you're saying. The gospel is meant to change our thinking, our hearts and our lives. What I like to discuss with others is how are we saved. This is the most important question we need to know the correct answer to. Is it just believe or is it believe and then we...

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Absolutely, we are to believe and if we don't, we are condemned. So, are you saying all we have to do is believe and that is receiving Jesus and we are saved? Could you please provide scripture to support that. After believing, is there no response that we must do?

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

How do we receive Jesus? What verses would you use to support your answer?

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

I suggest that is not considering the context. For example, Paul says this How then was it counted to him?

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Sorry, I assumed you were following the conversation and knew what question I had asked. You know what they say when we assume :) I wasn't asking about 2 Peter. My question is about Romans 4 and especially the verse you posted. I suggest people will misuse that verse as their proof without...

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Great passage. One way to prevent "wresting" the scriptures is to keep things in context. I would also add consider the words used. Paul is explaining something to the Romans and the HS has seen fit to use certain words to communicate the message. I have yet for anyone to answer the...

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Could you please give a little more detail on what you mean by this? their prior confession of faith...may actually start out believing in the Lord The reason I ask is because you made this point in the other post NOT later destroyed those who stopped believing, but DID NOT BELIEVE.

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Thanks for your comments. I have some thoughts but I don't have time to put them in order so that they make sense. However, this question basically is the root of the matter. What did they fall away from?

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

That verse is talking about Cornelius's conversion. The only other time "baptized with the HS" happened was on the day of Pentecost. Two special situations. The beginning of the church and convincing the Jews, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the Gentiles were to be included as well. Both times it...

We are not yet in the New Covenant prophecied by Jeremiah and Ezekiel - that is the Millennial reign

I'm not the sharpest knife but here are my thoughts. The Greek word used. diathéké: testament, will, covenant Original Word: διαθήκη, ης, ἡ Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine Transliteration: diathéké Phonetic Spelling: (dee-ath-ay'-kay) Definition: testament, will, covenant Usage: (a) a covenant...

We are not yet in the New Covenant prophecied by Jeremiah and Ezekiel - that is the Millennial reign

Jesus proclaimed the kingdom was at hand and He described the kingdom several times. Do His descriptions describe the kingdom you picture from the OT?

He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

Using the passage you mentioned. Those verses are in the middle of the thought. If we back up and continue past, we get a better understanding of what "not being mixed with faith" means. The writer is warning them to not fall away from God. He even includes himself. 3:12 Take care, brothers...
