Certainly, you are no fool
well I meant that from my own perspective , I’ve been proven a fool a lot of times in seven decades of livin
it was proven in the first decade in the holler where I was born and lived some years
, in the military where I spent a few years of my second going into third decade
was proven with a drinkin issue I started up and carried over a long fifteen years after that I can’t name the amount of foolish things I did during them years brother / sister
i eventually started learning because I was a fool and finally broke and acknowledged it , but I’m definetely no fool to believe in Jesus none of us are who believe in him whether we know alot or a little if we believe it we are following a wise path and should know it
I think it took me being a fool
And realizing it myself before my pride would allow Jesus to teach me anything
Im just glad I met and recognized the wise man to hear and believe in and follow after even though I’ve been proven a fool many times that decision to trust Jesus isn’t foolishness
“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that
not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
but
God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;
and
God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
and
base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence.”
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 KJV
The turning point in my life was about 32-33 years old when I realized I was a fool but God works with those folks that realize how very little they understand there is alot of wisdom on the Bible , I seem to have a gift to remember alot of what I’ve read over seventy years of livin
But also knowing it and then the many transgressions and mistakes I’ve made in those seventy years makes it hard to. Ot see what a fool I’ve always been
But The beauty is Jesus already knows I’ve been proven a fool and he never rejected me for those foolish things I did in life
He disciplined and reprimanded and taught and exhorted and expected things of me but he never left me alone to my own demise or in my own inability to overcome in the long run even at my worst Jesus never said “ forget this guy he’s irredeemable “
Certainly, you are no fool
