Other than the title of the book "Hebrews", isn't the very first verse clear in specifying who it is written to?

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways

Who were the forefathers of the gentiles believers?

Was Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea ever speaking to gentiles?
I'm a little late responding to this but FYI, IN THE PAST, means exactly that. This was not the past.

Since I seldom agree with just about anything you write, I won't be doing a back and forth with you on this. I know what you believe regarding Hebrews and it is nonsense, but your perogative of course.

I have had pretty much the same realization of what is true from my heart and what was not. We therefore recognize what God really wants, is from our hearts. God does not care about some ritualistic type service, no matter how good the singing is, if it has no true love for Him. Very good brother.
thank you!

Jesus said to them,
Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you."
(Matthew 21:31)
these tax collectors and harlots entering the kingdom were also Jews.
so who was it really taken from? did they cease to be Jews by entering?

For he is not a Jew,
which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision,
which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly;
and circumcision is that of the heart,
in the spirit, and not in the letter;
whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people;
once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
(1 Peter 2:10)
Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth,
and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy;
then I will say to those who were not My people,
‘You are My people!’
And they shall say,
You are my God!’ ”
(Hosea 2:23)
a nation He calls out for Himself as a betrothed bride, who was not a nation at all.
but the divorced wife, He will also speak kindly to, and restore
Where is this nation you speak of?

This chapter is part of a large sermon that is called the book of Hebrews. Chapter 12 is part of a persuasive speech that's comparing the old convenant with the new covenant. This writing is meant to convert practicing Jews to Christianity. I recommend reading the whole book slowly.

Whereas before if they even touched mount Zion they could be stoned in the old covenant, but under the new covenant, through faith in Christ, they can celebrate on the mountain with the angels, their names can be written in the book of life, their spirits can be made righteous and perfect in God's sight all because of Jesus who can be their mediator.
that’s a wonderfully insightful Post thank you

it was taken from the flesh children of Israel and offered to all nations born of the spirit in order to create a people for God he promosed remember that he would create a new people from all nations

he promised to create a new Jerusalem with new people who would give him new praise from
New hearts

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭24:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when he made the promise to David David promised he would
Make God a house to deell
In and would command the people to obey the lord . But Gods response to David was that he didn’t dwell
In houses made by men but he was making David a city and making David a people and he was making them a new home a new promised land that God would build and not man

the New Testament is about God creating new people for the new creation he’s created

the promise Isaiah for a new creation is what the gospel is about its the means by which Isaiahs prophecy is made true
The gospel is creating the people of Gods kingdom believers are the new people and non believers are the ones it’s taken from like Israel’s flesh children who rejected Gods son

the kingdom is something we reject when we reject Jesus and the gospel when we accept it it’s us being drawn into the kingdom becoming children of God , citizens of his kingdom , followers and disciples of his son

How do you get into His Kingdom?
The Master sends His Servant to fetch you, and He brings you back with Him.

Luke 14:21-23
So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here [the] poor and [the] maimed and [the] lame and [the] blind.' And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, that my house may be filled.

Hmm, close, but I think it's written to Jewish believers who are wanting to keep on practicing or go back to practicing Judaism. He's not trying to convince them Christ is the Messiah and he takes for granted that they already know the gospel - he writes to convince them how that being the Messiah, He is far greater than Moses and His covenant greatly exceeds the old one.
I would point out, to make this case, that he says 'by now you ought to be teachers' ((5:12)) indicating that they have already heard and believed and been taught about The Way

How does this compare to your answer?

John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3 compares exactly with Luke 14. It is the same Jesus who tells us both.

If you know how the poor, lame beggar gets a specialized, expensive wedding garment, then you know how it is that a man can be born again.
Here's a hint: it's not by climbing back into his mother's womb ;)

lol!

well i guess i'm glad to hear it's not you :ROFL: ((have you ever heard of 1 Corinthians 15:26?))

i take this to mean you have no idea how to fit John 3 & Luke 14 together, and that you have no interest in finding out, either.
in fact, you thought they are impossible to connect and that they were a weapon you could play 'gotcha' with, at me?
i.e. ((as i suspected)) you're just trolling.

well i hope you had fun :)
