The original poster's username now says banned (I'm not sure how long it's been like that but I noticed it yesterday,) so the original poster might be able to read replies as a guest, but he can no longer respond to them.

Nonetheless, the continuing discussion has been informative, even without the author of the thread present.
Yes i saw him create another thread about him not understanding the cross saying it didn't seem necessary for God to have jesus suffer so much for us..
I am sure he has been banned for a justified reason..God knows his real motives if it's genuine or just him seeking to being divisive....May God lead him into all truth..🙏🙏👌

To your first part.. this was not about "sex in or out of marriage". That is what you first thought of :) Who are we asking? Some believers think women should stay in the house cooking cleaning taking care of kids in a long dress and hair always up. Some do not give the women a right to even think for themselves. Man says "what your doing and dressing is tempting me so YOU STOP dressing and doing those things". We look at IRAN and how they treat women and.. oooh thats to far huh :) Seems MAN is always trying to control women. Ask a Jewish man (not saved) what they think of women :) You wont like it and these you would be asking are Rabbis that are GODS people :)

Then to say to someone "your not a true Christian" based on nothing more then a few lines of text? What does the "banned" some how prove this person was in error? :) I am going against what you said and going to leave this with the Father for He again was right. He said man only sees the out side (flesh) Gods sees the heart. You judged on nothing more then some text.

Do we really know how many things we have we do in our lifes that GOD does not like? He will NEVER EVER go against our will. Unless you pray and seek and ask.. and really truly want HIS will......He will never say a word.

Some can have these kind of things and never have one wicked thought. Some bind those thoughts resist the devil and the devil flees. Me? NOPE could not do it. And if I went to that persons house.. I would not expect him to change for me... I would just .. hey.. I'll just wait out side. I would never bring it up unless they asked. I want to be the best JESUS.. so I will not judge I will not condemn. If they ask if they bring it up.. praise GOD glory to Jesus. This guy is gone I think and look how hes treated. WE LOVE JESUS huh

Well... and sometimes He does this (without our even asking Him for it):

"For the Lord disciplines whom He loves, and He scourges every son whom He receives." Hebrews 12:6

Most times that the Lord has "disciplined [/or, scourged]" me, it has not been because I "prayed and seeked and asked" Him to. = )

[V.7 goes on to say - "If you endure discipline, God is treating you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?"]

I was just thread hopping (As in what popped up with the most activity on the front page) and I think this thread answered a question I had:

“Why is masturbation a Sin?”

I don’t how to do it, but I just legit didn’t know it was sinful until seeing people on here saying it was. I might still make the thread for fun, lol. But when I told my mom, she was like if it becomes a idol in your life, that masturbating becomes more important than God, then it’s a Sin. My Dad was saying it becomes sin when you do it, and imagine other people while doing it. So I just honestly never heard of masturbation being called sin (Like I get why, it’s a thing most churches will never talk about), but it seems in CC forums, we can easily ask the odd questions that need addressing, LOL XD

While there is some value in discovering things that are sinful that you hadn't considered care should be taken in such pursuits.

In a situation like that you're going to get a lot of opinion and speculation as there isn't much said about it Biblically. There is the issue of lustfulness and idolatry as your parents mention, but I'd suspect they'd be hard pressed to come up with verses to define their positions.

Pray on it and God will show you what is sin. Yet don't let a preoccupation with sin and its avoidance take your eyes off of Jesus.

One of the tricks of Satan is to accuse us and make us feel unworthy. God will discipline us but it is never done with malice, and if we are focused on Jesus we will be drawn out of sin without becoming conscious of what sin is. So focus on the cross, not your own performance.

Thanks ^_^

Cause it did honestly worry me when I saw people saying in different threads that it is sin, but then my mom was trying to tell me back in college that there is nothing wrong with “stress relieving” and that you just figure it out. I still haven’t figured it out and don’t feel like I need to, but it does probably put stress on my body, cause it’s a world thing that everyone can not avoid. I know I have a Christian friend, he told me all denominations are basically “Radio Channels” as in we all listen to something different, but we all still get to the same destination: Heaven. Thinking on it, that might cause problems since some churches might say it’s okay to be gay, but it’s not at all, but it’s something I found insightful and has stuck with me, so I’m glad I heard my friend say that to me. But anyway if I told masturbation was a sin, he would probably laugh it off, but I am assuming and we all know what it sometimes means to “assume”, lol.

I know my therapist recommended me some books on a Christian view of sexuality and everything else dealing with sex, but we keep forgetting to write the titles of the books down, I keep forgetting, lol 😅

I recently made a thread on Homosexuality and my stance on it in the Miscellaneous forums, so I think at this point, I’m all up for weird and odd topics.

2 Timothy 2:22 teaches us to flee from sexual immorality. We know that Jesus said that if you even look at a woman with lust, you have sinned. You shouldn't have those pictures up my friend because it could lead you to sin. You may not sin yet, but it could happen down the road. Don't create pitfalls for yourself. I pray that you abide in the Holy Spirit and live a life of pure heart.

I am new here and wasn’t sure where to post this subject. I do not think it is wrong but the gentlemen who disciples me says it is-but could not state a solid valid reason. I’m a struggling Christian who avoids churches because they riddled with middle class snobbery-so i was looking for an answer here. Sorry if my quest offends you.
if I had a $ every time I heard " I'm a struggling Christian".

That is not a struggle that is a compromise to sin. The struggle is a type of resisting not in one formed by defeat. You should be struggling to victory, not like some Catholic priest who performs an exorcism on a person and the devil keeps coming back.

FYI HE never LEFT!. one's perversion that has been embraced is not resisting, and it is not submitting to God therefore the devil is not fleeing you. Your being immature, half baked cake, lukewarm, and disobedient. God is not mocked.
