This is so sad to to read. Nudity equals sex? really? And some people are even being lawful like the pharisees. Control your hearts and minds, and you wont be tempted . You can be much stronger in christ and battle the enemy than you currently are. This is what God desires, total dedication, not some half hearted attempt, come on guys, you can do it!

Reading some of your posts I'd say it's likely that you're not Christian.

Yeah so you've probably heard it's wrong one hundred times over just like homosexuals have heard it a thousand times over. Another time is not going to do anything. Holy Spirit just needs to show you, if you're a Christian as you say you are, you'll find out.

The question was somewhat rhetorical. Seems pretty clear he's caught in a modern confusion that it's possible to be a Christian without being a disciple.

Sorry but I’m not making an excuse for my sin-that’s the point i do not believe that looking at attractive beautiful creatures is a sin. Also you may not have read my reply to another person where I stated that I do not ‘follow’ my posters anymore than my parents obsessively look at the pictures of the titanic and the country scene they have on their walls. They do not distract me from my bible studying,my physical activities or my spiritual life. I am not in my opinion doing anything wrong by having beautiful images on my wall. I a only posted the question because a fellow Christian ✝️ said it was wrong-but gave no valid answer as to why.

So, if it is beautiful pictures you are looking at, does that mean you also look at beautiful pictures of mountains and oceans? Or tigers or lions in their natural habitat? Or newborn babies? Or birds? Or wedding pictures full of joy? It seems like you have a very narrow idea about what constitutes beauty. I try to have a bouquet of flowers in the rooms of my house, which I picked from my garden. They are so beautiful to me. I have pictures of my grandchildren and children, because they are so beautiful to me.

Maybe you are limiting your definition of beauty. God didn't just create women. He created men, and the whole beautiful earth. And the stars and the heavens, for that matter. Try finding some pictures of other beautiful things to put up in your bedroom. Try and seek inner beauty, too! There are people who seem ugly on the outside, but when you get to know them, they have a beautiful spirit.

Here are some quotes from the Bible about beauty. I think after reading them, you will find them to counter your idea. Just because a mentor failed to give you the correct verses, doesn't mean they aren't there!

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." 1 Peter 3:3-4

" Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Phil. 4:8-9 (I don't think Paul is commending soft porn on your walls, in this passage!)

"Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8:5-8

Here's a verse telling you how beautiful flowers are! From the Sermon on the Mount!)

"“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." Matt 6:28-29

No where in the Bible, except perhaps Song of Solomon, does God call for us to physically admire one another. Rather, we are to love people for their character. Read all of Prov. 31 from verse 10 to the end. See what are the beautiful things this woman has. Not a word about physical beauty!

Which reminds me. You say these women are not married on your walls. Do you have proof of that? Let's say they are not married, are they Christians? I doubt many or any Christian women would be dressing up in scanty clothes so random men like you can have their lusty thoughts in the confines of their own room. Do you realize these poor women are likely all going to hell? Have you thought of praying for their salvation? Instead of leering at them, pray daily for each one to be saved. God knows where they are. Instead of soft porn and lust, do as God commands us to do - pray for the lost and witness to them. I hope they will become more like needy human beings to you, needing God, as you pray. Put up pictures of the beautiful earth, to contrast and reflect on what God has created, by giving us this planet. I hope you will one day grow up and realize what you are doing is far from the heart of God.

Ooops! Missed repentance!

Without repentance, you cannot be a Christian. I had people witnessing to me for years, telling me how much Jesus loved me, and I needed to follow him. It all rang hollow. Then I met my future husband and he told me I needed to repent of my sins, and BANG! God saved me. I had prayed for my father for my whole Christian walk - over 31 years. I gave him a Bible, gospel presentations, and tried to be a good witness by my life, which he noticed!

But, my husband and I finally sat him down, and I did the "Jesus loves you" part, and my husband said "You need to repent of your sins." My father prayed immediately and was saved. So saved that he witnessed to every nurse and doctor in the hospitals where he was dying.

Repentance is missing in your life, which is why you sit here defending yourself that you are not doing anything wrong, looking at smut. What you are doing to those women is a sin. Until you repent of it, take the pictures down, you literally are not saved.

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, " Acts 3:19

I agree! They are.

But just because they're beautiful doesn't mean it's good for you. Here's why.

1. Having posters of naked women is giving in to short time preferences. It's instant gratification. But it truly does come at a longer term cost. That longer term cost is the inability to get an erection when you get older. You've see it all already, so what's to get excited about seeing your own woman's boobs for the 1000th time? The less porn you watch, the easier it'll be for you to get hard when you're older. That's one reason you really want to run from sexual sin.

2. Porn (whether it's poster or movies or stories or whatever) generally leads to masturbation. Masturbation reduces your drive for the real thing. That drive for sex is a good thing and is helps us males to accomplish greatness. Historically men will go do great things with at least part of the goal being to bag a top tier woman. If you are in the habit of just closing your eyes and rubbing yourself, then your drive for the real thing will be quench by the imaginary. You won't even have the motivation to go out and ask a real woman on a date.

3. Naked woman posters on your wall is an indicator of something worse that either of the previous points. It's an indicator that women have power over you. This is a great fail for men. As men we should be in command of our thoughts. Nothing is better than dismissing a haughty woman that thinks she can bat her eyelashes at you and get her way. Don't let a woman rule you - no matter how good she looks.

**points 2 and 3 above are not contradictory. If you think they are, then spend some more time thinking about it.

First, the modern definition of adultery has nothing to do with God's definition, and the word woman in the verse which says, If any man looks at a woman to dwell on his lust for her he has committed adultery with her in his heart had a completely different meaning to Jesus and His audience than we modern people have created for it. How do you know? How many wives did David have BEFORE he committed adultery, how many did he take afterwards? How many times is Solomon accused of adultery? Hint ... zero. Just of taking foreign wives. Moses had multiple wives, shoot, God says He took two wives and they committed adultery against Him. How many wives can you take before you commit adultery again? ANybodies definition of adultery make God Himself guilty enough to stone dead for sin?

We redefine things shoving modern meanings back into ancient words. Example. We use the Greek word pneuma, in out modern word pneumatic. It is also used of the Holy Spirit. If we can take modern meanings and shove them back into the ancient words then questions like, how big a compressor does the Holy Spirit need to run? or How big an air hose does the Holy Spirit have? What powers the Holy Spirits compressor? Become valid questions. We shove our modern meaning for the word pornography into the word for fornication or sexual sin as it is listed throughout the O.T. law. yet, those principles are completely lacking from every single verse.

The question isn't, can we justify everything we want to believe "as" truth. Of course we can. Everyone can. All we have to do is :

1.) Gather everything we can use to prove our beliefs true.
2.) Gather everything we can use to prove all opposing beliefs false.
3.) Interpret all of our selected data(1-2 above) in the light of our beliefs
4.) Interpret everything else in the light of 1-3 above.
5.) Explain away, discredit, ignore, change the definitions of, reinterpret, ... anything that might seem to discredit our beliefs.
6.) Come up with other reasons to believe whatever we "want to believe" "as" truth.
7.) Our belief group is the oldest, largest, is most highly educated, is the wealthiest, fastest growing, we have a burning in the bosom, tongues, signs, wonders, we cast out demons, a statue of the virgin Mary came to life and said worship me and the one true church the Roman Catholic church ...

But if you do the things above, you don't want anything at all to do with truth. Plus the more you do of those things the more your eyes and ears will be closed to even considering anything else. You do those things if you HATE truth and want nothing ever to do with it. Belief groups do not exist to get anyone to truth.

Belief groups exist to teach, promote, evangelize, defend ... the belief group's beliefs "as" truth.

That which you love least is always forced to conform to that which you love most. Everyone either loves the truth or they love their beliefs.

Frankly, God couldn't care less about pictures, murals, drawings ... he is concerned with unlawful sex, which is listed in detail in the scripture. Sure we can "make up" scriptures that aren't really there, or do not have the meaning we want to force into them, but if we stick to the scriptures, God's opinion of morality, and that of those who claim to be His people have very little in common.

Hmm... We had another poster here not too long ago who was always preaching that images of scantily-clad women were to be seen as "artistic," and that he spent much of his time perusing them on the internet.

I'm just curious -- if you were dating a woman who had her walls covered with pictures of good-looking, semi-naked men, would it be a problem for you, or would you encourage her in doing so, as you seem to be looking for?

After all, she could argue the same thing -- that she was simply admiring the male form.
The question then becomes, what do we do with first Corinthians seven. What type of touching is going on in verse one that results in the possible outcome listed in verse 2? Let them marry, they have not sinned... yet the reasons for seeking to get married in this chapter all have to do with uncontrolled desire ... not having kids, but rather, unless both are in agreement, you do not even take time off for prayer... sexual satisfaction of both parties lest you be tempted ... Now the question is, is lust engaged before you get ot verse 1 in 1 co. or do you just walk up to someone and start touching? That of course gets into the if any man looks at a woman to dwell on his lust for her he has committed adultery with her in his heart. Of course the word for woman used is the only word for married woman available, and adultery can only occur with a woman married to a man still living. Don't believe me? How many wives did David have BEFORE he committed adultery? How many did he take afterwards? How many wives and concubines did Solomon not only look at naked, buyt had sex with? Cases of adultery listed in scripture? God says He took two wives and they committed adultery against Him. How many wives do I have to take before I am accused of adultery? We change God's definitions and His meaning be cause we hate truth. We do not want to see it. We want to justify what we want to believe and feel self-righteous. We nullify the commands of God that He did give to hold fast to the traditions of men which we teach as commandments of God.

When we have the truth, every passage that might pertain to the topic at hand will have been gathered and examined. And when we have the correct interpretation of "everything that might apply" God, God's word and God's people will be 100% consistent in all they say and do, and in all they don't say and don't do. If something doesn't fit it is because we are believing lies as truth and truth to be lies. God reproves those who He loves when they sin. Yet, looking at 1000 women naked, and indeed, having sex and children with them was not Solomon's sin. God reproved him for taking foreign wives. Who gave David his wives, even the wives of his enemies? When do you become a wife/husband/one, according to scripture? You are not officially married until what event occurs?

Logic, reason, rational thought ... think your way through people? Do you love truth or do you love what you want to believe "as" truth?


2Th 2:10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

If you do not love truth more than any or all of your beliefs, you will get whatever you need to believe whatever you want to believe as truth. Look around you. Look at all the other belief groups in the world. Every person who does not love truth more than their beliefs gets everything they need to believe anything and everything they want.

As for the 1 Corinthians 7 passage, there is some question as to the actual wording in verses 36-38 (and that is reflected in the various versions: [LISTED-->] https://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/7-37.htm ... some versions say it one way, some say it the other way )...

When I was a boy my chore was to clean out the stalls and pens in the barn. Between the pigs and chickens I couldn't tell ya what was worse. Of course cows came in a close second😏
I noticed that the longer I stayed in the barns the less noticeable the smell was. But for a person who would check on me to see if I needed a hand would always say 'how can you stand that smell" my reply would be what smell?

You say you fail to see what's wrong and are you in the wrong. Let me ask you this .....is God wrong?

Many times I am asked to have a beer or a drink by those who wish to hear the good news. Nothing wrong with that but I dont. It would not give the right example in which I stand and I don't think it brings God any glory. I could justify it to say it might knock down walls and barriers of the holy than tho attitude people look for in a christian. Bottom line it doesn't please God ....so stop.
