They are trying to use it as a back door to works

Buy and sell. You can not without the mark if the beast. A man born of god has his needs met he would never accept

They seem to lack faith or they would maybe understand?
But if he did accept, he would have lost his salvation according to revelations 14:9-12, as well as Hebrews 10:26-27.

That is the point

It is also biblical that a “born again” can never be taken away from Jesus....what God has given to Jesus....nothing on the planet can take the believer away from him.
John 10:25-30
25“I already told you,” Jesus replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in My Father’s name testify on My behalf. 26 But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe. 27 My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

@jackrosie ...
What strikes me out from these Scriptures is where Jesus tells us that we are not only in His hands , but also our Fathers hand , I mean to me that is a beautiful secure blessing \:)/
We would have to be more powerful than God Himself to slip out from His hand...

I imagine our Lord Jesus`s hand holding us , then our Fathers hand wrapped around His Sons hand , doubly snuggled ;)

Salvation is the INVITATION to ABIDE........come on @EleventhHour abide in God's Love for you......His love is so life giving.....you will bear much fruit.......(y)

May God reveal to you one day soon how much HE absolutely abhors what DENIES HIS FINISHED atoning work that has brought us the gift of salvation.

Then you may also have a small glimpse of what God Hates.

Now you can understand that the Bible does seem contradictory if you read passages literally.

The key is to understand different time periods and different audience.

Nor will I ever coddle one that so adamently opposes the truth while devaluing Jesus, his word, his promises.....this modern xianity that embraces false teachers under the banner of "love" sickens me.......instead of writing LOVE LETTERS TO THEM they need to be opposed, rejected and given the full blown truth in all it's glory.

Amen. False teachers/doctrines have infiltrated our churches and the lives of believers for a long time. I refuse to sit back and love their actions.

Oh @EleventhHour, you seem upset and there is no reason to be upset. You love God and God loves you. God knows those that love Him and abide in Him. We're sealed with the Holy Spirit - it's FOREVER, nobody is losing their salvation in Christ, even if they think they are, they still are not going to lose it! lol! :giggle::love:

I'm so thankful today for His Gift of Salvation and how Jesus gives us access to the Throne Room of God in heavenly places to abide with Him......I love the Father so much..He is so patient with all of us...I love Jesus so much...He is the Lover of our souls, Savior, King and Lord and waits patiently for His Bride.....I love the Holy Spirit so much..such a wonderful comforter, counselor, teacher, kind of like a mother to us, very nurturing...

Yes, there are things that God hates......

Proverbs 6:16-19 New International Version (NIV)
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

When our minds are renewed and our souls restored, we will love what God loves and hate what God hates, cry over what God cries over, laugh at what God laughs at, just sit in His Presence - take the time to just be with Him........

I am actually not upset. I tend to try to be succinct ... maybe that comes across as upset....but rest assured I am not.

I agree with all you have written here,

However, not really my point...... perhaps you are naive to the damage of false doctrine

I do not know your life experiences, but I can assure you God hates any doctrine which denies the full efficacy of the blood of Christ

and seeks to add any human effort to salvation.

I really like how Paul addressed the false doctrine of the Galatians regarding circumcision....

Galatians 3 New International Version (NIV)
Faith or Works of the Law

3 You foolish Galatians! <= I just bust out laughing with this one, I love it! Paul definitely hated false doctrine! God does use hard and abrasive people to bring correction.(y)

Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?[a] 4 Have you experienced[b] so much in vain—if it really was in vain? 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[c]

Anyways, always a pleasure speaking with you!(y)

They have indeed ... and by the looks of the posts on this thread recently, I am pretty sure it will only be a short while before there is only a remnant left.

This conviction and contending for truth comes from God of this I am convinced. I am so thankful for your firm stand.:)
Amen.

If God saves a person they can never lose their salvation....that’s it they are Heaven bound.

Some people think they have been saved in their mind.....but the only way you know you have been saved,is by God testifying to your spirit that you are his child......the Lord has taken up residence in a believers heart...never to leave or forsake you.
You can go off track....but he always woos /draws you back to him.
And here lies the issue.

Some people think they have been saved in their mind.
If so why so?

The only way to know you have been saved is because through the Holy Spirit who is in you testified that you are his child and he will never leave or forsake you.

Sorry but I have lost count of how many people who believe the opposite.

Why?

Because they go off track. When they do God will not draw them back.
They believe they have been unadopted.
Why would that be?

Because they have been told they can lose they salvation based on performance and works. The mentality is 3 strikes and you are out.

What does that lead to?

We all know the answer.

I speak from personal experience.
And I would not wish that on any beliver.
It is living hell on earth.
Waiting for God to say "Sorry you are not good enough, not done enough you are no longer my child and I'm going to send you to hell"

Such people have been taught and told that and it is sickening to the core.
I will always fight against this and will always come against this. And trust me it doesn't just mean works. Various denominations believe if you you don't speak in Tongues then it's evidence you are not saved, along with smoking or struggling with addiction.

The truth is we are saved by faith alone. Nothing needs to be added to this.
Jesus said that himself.

The only thing he required was to believe on and in him.

In fact he said he must go back to the father so the Holy Spirit would come to convict the world of sin. That sin is unbelief in him.

That is the point of this thread.

Some can lose their salvation based on performance and not faith.
Yet it's so contradictory. Yes I have faith but not enough works.

Heb 10
10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

I will pray that v.39 fitly describes all of us.

That gift received is Eternal Life, secure not revocable.

Romans 5:10
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through HIS life!
