If God saves a person they can never lose their salvation....that’s it they are Heaven bound.
Some people think they have been saved in their mind.....but the only way you know you have been saved,is by God testifying to your spirit that you are his child......the Lord has taken up residence in a believers heart...never to leave or forsake you.
You can go off track....but he always woos /draws you back to him.
And here lies the issue.
Some people think they have been saved in their mind.
If so why so?
The only way to know you have been saved is because through the Holy Spirit who is in you testified that you are his child and he will never leave or forsake you.
Sorry but I have lost count of how many people who believe the opposite.
Why?
Because they go off track. When they do God will not draw them back.
They believe they have been unadopted.
Why would that be?
Because they have been told they can lose they salvation based on performance and works. The mentality is 3 strikes and you are out.
What does that lead to?
We all know the answer.
I speak from personal experience.
And I would not wish that on any beliver.
It is living hell on earth.
Waiting for God to say "Sorry you are not good enough, not done enough you are no longer my child and I'm going to send you to hell"
Such people have been taught and told that and it is sickening to the core.
I will always fight against this and will always come against this. And trust me it doesn't just mean works. Various denominations believe if you you don't speak in Tongues then it's evidence you are not saved, along with smoking or struggling with addiction.
The truth is we are saved by faith alone. Nothing needs to be added to this.
Jesus said that himself.
The only thing he required was to believe on and in him.
In fact he said he must go back to the father so the Holy Spirit would come to convict the world of sin. That sin is unbelief in him.
That is the point of this thread.
Some can lose their salvation based on performance and not faith.
Yet it's so contradictory. Yes I have faith but not enough works.
