Elijah to come vs Antichrist

The meaning to Jesus sayin "if you are willing to except it" would be understood as "if you can comprehend it" John the Baptist was that Elijah who was to come.

Elijah coming as one of the two witnesses is only conjecture, because no where does it specifically state his name. It is assumed that Elijah is one of the two witnesses because of the similar plague of them being able to shut the sky so that it doesn't rain. God can have any prophet do that.

The fact is that Jesus said that John the Baptist was that Elijah who was to come. It says that right in the scripture and still people argue about. Take it up with Jesus, he's the One who said it. I'm just quoting it.

I don't have to do that, Jesus already added the conditional "if". Since the if conditional did not take place, whether accept or comprehend as you stated, the "then" part need not come true too.

Don't teach English. The "if" in the verse does not infer does not infer possible falseness of John being that Elijah who was to come. For following that Jesus says, "he is that Elijah who was to come," regardless of whether they excepted it or not. Jesus is stating a fact, not a possibility.

However, if you want to believe what you have claimed, you are free to do so.

You get a real.nice prophet early and then two angry ones later...but they will convert people...and imagine if there were head to head fight with the Antichrist and false prophet...but it's clear one man is sent first and if people don't listen God will totally anilate the planet...think this man will bring families together...but they said John the Baptist and Jesus had demons...so imagine one prophet in nuclear environments and other things...its important that he comes before...not during the trib...the 2 wits are later but one probably the same man...what you will find If you Google that serious Christian pastors...Chuck Smith and others believed him to be alive...but he can't force the planet to listen...and do...but many will get saved...but most surmise he won't be received well...he won't be a game player...he will want people to fully repent and know and obey God and Christ

Daniel doesn't make it clear that the Antichrist comes from Rome at all. None of the prophets indicate a Roman Antichrist. The Roman Antichrist theory is a modern Western interpretation.

Regardless of anyone's feelings towards Catholic or Islam or Hindu or Buddhist or Mormon or other pagan or heretical religions, these will not be the prophesied religion instituted by the man of sin. The book of Daniel describes the final false religion to deceive the masses in many ways, but notably says it is a strange thing they worship that their fathers knew not.
